This school is worse than public schools. The Head Office is staffed with management that is clueless about education, they are purely driven by profit nothing else. At Springs academy there is no laboratory learners are shown exoeriments on laptops. Its bewildeting that a school can offer sciences withiut a laboratory in this age. The school does not have computers for teaching in this age of the 4IR. As of now there is no one in HR as another clueless young lady they had appointed as HR manager quit in a huff when she was exposed as ignorant in labour relations. The teachers are hsrdworking but paid peanuts because most are college students and those qualified are mostly foreigners with work permits. You send your kids there thinking its better but its worse than public schools

HORRIBLE SCHOOL DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE! After seeing the review on literally almost platform in the country about this school and considering our residential move we tried cancelling the registration ON TIME but they will still not refund our money. Enrollment not confirm so our child would still be sitting at home had we not made other arrangements. This school does not care anything about their learners - happy to take our money but won't deliver service. I wonder if they are now even registered?????? You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Utterly disgusted with PLG Carlswald. Bullying reported to the principal who actually did nothing, his comments to me was 'he cannot control what other children say or do to my child'. As principal running the school, he actually did nothing to address the bullying my child yet the contract we sign and which he is supposed to adhere to states bullying is not tolerated at the schools. I have removed my children from this school. It is a scam and money making scheme. The school is also not registered with the Department of Education which makes it an illegal school (according to what the Dept of Educ has said to me).

PLG Schools, Carlswald, have wrongly handed me over to Credit Intel who are Debt Collectors. There is nothing outstanding to the school as the full amount was paid for the 2019 Academic year. My son was not in the School for 2020 Academic year. PLG School, Carlswald, is NOT a registered school with the Dept of Education and so are many of their teachers. What are they trying to achieve by extorting money ? They are using Bullying tactics to extort money.. No statement was issued and then i suddently received a demand for payment. I was even issued 2 accounts form the Debt Collectors, and one of them didnt even belong to me.

At the surface, PLG Willowview seemed like a good school with it's farm setting and serene dam, but scratch through the surface and you'll see secrets, lies, cheating and troubles. On a camping trip to a resort or lodge in KwaZulu-Natal in 2018, according to students, a Senior Phase Life Orientation teacher (now Physical Education) gave alcohol to the boys (aged 13-19). All the teachers were under the influence of alcohol with two teachers, the FET arts teacher, and the Senior phase, Social Sciences teacher, initiating in ***, allegedly witnessed by the female students. Students were left alone with two, a Grade 8 female and a Grade 10 male showering together. During an event called Rodeo in 2019, students consumed alcohol and initiated in ***ual activities with students from Hoerskool Birchleigh and Norkem Park High School. They all left at midnight or later. Other Events Which Occurred Include: - Students setting the field on fire in 2017 - Various theft of possessions - A student bringing an explosive into the exam hall, with it exploding in 2019 - A Grade 9 student dating a Grade 12 (who was 19) student in 2019 - A Grade 8 student dating a Grade 11 student in 2018 (not same couple) - Excessive amounts of students leaving the school within a year - Students being left with no teacher - A teacher being trapped in the netball court by a fire According to hostel students, they are given food which is not beneficial to their health and only eat at second break. They are also denied breakfast if the arrive late to breakfast and left outside in the cold. Regarding teachers and learning, the results were bad to good with few standouts. It was behind with technology and doesn't use technology based learning. It is a CAPS based institution. Grade 9 EMS learners had the worst results with entire grade failing it in 2019, in terms 1 and 3. Mathematics was also an issue. The Afrikaans teacher for 2019 would rarely discuss work and speak about her personal life. She left midyear without informing students or teachers due to pay cuts, leaving the students stranded which consisted of Grade 8 to 12 for 2-3 months. Everyone failed Afrikaans. This has happened at a school she taught prior (if you read this and recognize who I'm referring to, please don't employ her) with the new teacher coming from the same school as she and having to deal with disorganized nature. They even used the same material from Grade 8. There were teachers who weren't qualified for certain subjects. There's a problem with discipline with students. The principal from 2018 to 2019 went on a trip to Australia and the school had low funds. He left midyear too, leaving the school without a principal for a few months. The school was left under the responsibility of teachers until October or September. They also charge parents who don't give the school a notification of leaving. AVOID PLG WILLOWVIEW AT ALL COSTS

On the third (03) of March the directors came to school to announce that the company was closing the high school due to financial challenges. On the 10 th of March high school learners 9GRADE 8-11 were given letters to officially inform them that the high school was shutting down on the 20 th of March .On the 12 th of Mrch they came back to school together with the labour attorney to inform high school teachers the reason why the school was closing down and asked us to give them alternatives to closing the school. On the same date 12 Mrch 2020 i gave the principal a hard copy of alternatives to closing the schoool and i also sent the directors an email regarding the alternatives to closing the school. i also requested a proof of audited financial statements to prove that the school was having financial problems, However i was never given feedback regarding my alternatives to closing the school that i gave them, My alternatives to closing the school were just silently rejected. The management refused to give me audited financial stateements to prove that the school was having financial problems. OIn the 20 th of March the company closed the high school. we also had a meeting with their labour attorney on which i was just told by word of mouth that i was going to be given R 20 000 at the end of march and R 17 000 at the end of April. The directors even failed to honour that little promise, instead at the end of March i was given R 7 700 and at the end of April i was given R 7 500 which was even less than my monthly salary. I was issued with a letter of dismissal on the 17 th of April. My contract stated that if they decide to terminate my contract they would give me 3 month notice. To my knowledge and understanding the school closed because they did not have an examination centre for grade 12 learners to write their exams. the school had failed to register with Umalusi for Examination centre so that their grade 11 learners who were going to grade 12 would be able to write their matric. They did not want to expose themselves that PLG Schools were operating high schools without examination centre. They were left with no choice but to close the high school. I have requested them to assist me with UIF form but they could not . yours sincerely Maxwell Kadyaridzire
