I initially experienced really good service from Phoenix Pools during the Pool installation in 2018, but then stated experiencing problems with their after sales service in 2021 when the filter cracked and leaked, with poor response time. I was referred to Cheryl who deals with maintenance and warranty claims, and II had to follow up continuously as help wasn’t forthcoming and communication really poor. The leak was eventually repaired and covered under the warranty, after 2 weeks. I contacted them again mid June 2024, as again I noticed my pool was losing water and saw water collecting in the pump housing. I again contacted Cheryl @ Phoenix Pools, that deals with these type of issues and she never responded to my emails and follow up. In desperation I contacted the person that initially managed the installation and eventually got a response from Cheryl after a week with some lame excuse that my email ended up in her junk folder…… Nevertheless, assistance wasn’t forthcoming despite numerous emails and phone calls, and eventually I decided to find another supplier to assist me, as I was told that the repairs would not be covered under warranty by Phoenix Pools, and have been waiting patiently for assistance for close to 2 weeks! When I informed Cheryl that I cannot wait any longer and was going to find another supplier to assist me, this was her reply: “No Problem – let them assist as I can’t guarantee availability”!!!!

Poly Phoenix Fibreglass Products Fibreglass Specialists Since 1969 C.L. Heyden 011 394 2220/1 THE COMPANY LISTED ABOVE HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY DISHONORABLE IN THIER DEALINGS. A BRAND NEW SWIMMING POOL INSTALLED BY POLY PHOENIX POOLS, STOPPED WORKING BEFORE THE WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRED . WE REPORTED THAT THE MOTOR NO LONGER WORKS. BETWEEN MY WIFE AND I WE SENT SEVERAL MAILS REQUESTING SERVICE AND THAT THEY HONOUR THE WARRNTY. AND AFTER MY MAILS REFLECTED SOME ANGER, WE WERE TOLD BY CHERRYL ,TO TAKE A VIDEO AND SEND IT TO THEM SO THAT THEY CAN BE HELPED WITH PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSES. Or ALTERNATIVELY PAY R-1250,00 FOR A TECH TO COME AND CHECK IT I RECORDED A VIDEO AND SUBMITTED THIS TO CHERYL ALL PUMPS CARRY A SUPPLIER WARRANTY AND YET WE WERE TOLD THAT PAYMENT UPFRONT NEEDS TO BE MADE. I REFUSED TO PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT SHOULD BE FREE DUE TO THE WARRNTY COVER IN PLACE. POLY PHOENIX POOLS, WHO WAS PAID HANDSOMELY FOR THIS POOL SAT BACK AND IGNORED THEIR CUSTOMER TOTALLY OUR POOL JUST GOT GREENER AND GREENER AND TO DATE POLY PHOENIX POOLS HAD NEVER STEPPED FOOT ONTO MY PREMISES TO FIX OR HONOUR THE WARRANTY. COMPANIES LIKE THIS WHO GLADY TAKES YOUR MONEY AND NEVER RETURN TO HONOUR THEIR AGREEMENT SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. I DONT KNOW HOW THEY REMAIN IN BUSINESS IF THIS IS WHAT CONSUMERS HAVE TO PUT UP WITH. I ENDED UP FIXING THE PROBLEM MYSELF TWO WEEKS AGO SO THAT THE POOL CAN BE READY FOR THE SEASON AHEAD I NEVER DREAMT THAT I WOULD NEED TO SPEND MONEY ON A NEW POOL THAT IS UNDER WARRANTY. PEOPLE SHOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT DEALING WITH THEM FOR ANY PRODUCTS THAT THEY SELL. THEY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. THERE MAY BE CLIENTS THAT NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS DUE TO THIER EQUIPMENT MAKING IT PAST THE WARRNTY STAGE WITHOUT FAILING AND WERE THE FORTUNATE ONES. BUT BE WARNED, POLY PHOENIX POOLS SHOULD BE STEERED CLEAR OFF. WE HAVE SINCE NOT HEARD A PEEP OUT OF CHERYL OR ANY OTHER MEMBER OF POLY PHOENIX POOLS / FIBRE PRODUCTS POLY PHOENIX POOLS WAS FULLY PAID IMMEDIATELY ON COMPLETION OF WORK AND NO LONGER CARED FOR THIER CLIENT OR AFTER SALES SERVICE. THE QUESTION BEGS, HAS POLY PHOENIX POOLS /FIBRE PRODUCTS BEEN DISHONOURING CLIENTS SINCE 1969???? POLY PHOENIX POOLS, MAY YOUR BUSINESS ETHICS SOON REFLECT IN YOUR BANK BALANCE. WHAT A SORRY EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESS, PEOPLE WHO DOES DECKING OR WORK ALONGSIDE YOU SHOULD THINK TWICE OF THIER PARTNERSHIP WITH YOU.

I purchased a fiberglass koi filter in 2019 from Phoenix Pools in Spartan . It was relatively expensive at the time as it has the easy access lid which makes these filters more expensive than the normal pool filters. Last week I had developed a hair line crack and the filter was leaking. I was extremely disappointed and considering it had been three years since purchase, I thought I was going to have to buy a new one. I called Phoenix pools and spoke with Barry who is a scholar and a gentleman. Barry acknowledged that this should not happen. No questions asked, they have replaced it free of charge. What great service. I take my hat off to you. Thank you.

I got a pool installed by them a few days ago at my new house, the titan 4mx3m. The quality of the work is good (at-least from what I've seen so far). The problem with them is they say one thing the one day, then the next do a complete U-Turn on what they had previously committed on. So the 1st issue was the piping that was under my garden where they were supposed to install the pool, their quote clearly states that they also cover plumbing, they started digging on a Wednesday, and they found pipes in my Garden, they confirmed that they will send a plumber to my premises the following week on Monday to move the pipes, which was fine. Then Monday came and some supervisor or I don't know what that idiot is came to my property to inspect (Think his name was Philip) and now all of a sudden they're saying I need to get my own plumber and they won't touch this plumbing. I ended up getting my own plumber to move the pipes and they continued. Next came the electrical for the Pool, which they did, but ended up sending me some bogus invoice for about R2700 for "additional cabling" the electrician did where as they charged me for installation in the initial invoice. But anyway after the installation of the Pool was done, there was alot of waste and rubble left outside my Yard which they said they'd remove, next thing I get a call from them saying I need to remove the rubble myself as they don't do that. All in all I think they are a very dishonest company and try to milk you for every cent you have. If I could go back in time I'd honestly use a different company, I will not be using them in future for any new pools on any of my new properties. ***I would not recommend Phoenix Pools to my worst enemy***

Good afternoon, My pool was completed 15/04/2018. I had asked for a charcoal colored Sundowner pool. I was informed that there might be a colour change taking place at the water edge of the pool as this is not a standard colour. I agreed to this. On September 27, 2019 I sent a complaint to Phillip regarding the pool changing colour on the steps and the formation of blisters on the side of the pool. After many months of repeating my mail and a threat to go public I received a mail from Phillip today as per mail below. 04 June 2020 ( almost 9 months later ) "Good day Jan Apologies for the late response there was a miscommunication between me and Cheryl to make contact with you earlier. Unfortunately can Poly Phoenix not approve your warranty claim. The pool was manufacture in a charcoal colour which you were cautioned about at the time of the sale and to which you had agreed and accepted the possible consequence thereof. Any other colour other than white and pale blue are not covered as per the terms and conditions of your pool installation contract. (4) Final pool coat surface is guaranteed for a period of 2 years only but does not include the gelcoat against blistering/osmosis or other water / chemical related problems. Any colours other than the standard White and Pale Blue are not guaranteed against discolouring, fading, streaking or blotching. We can provide you with a quote to recoat the pool with a new top coating should you wish to do so. Please advice Kind regards, Phillip" Never ever were I advised that if I use that colour that I will have blisters forming on the side of the pool, will you go and buy a car that the salesmen tells you will blister after a few months, I think not? I find this totally unacceptable to be informed 9 months later that my purchase agreement with them was totally flawed. I have never seen the part or been formally informed about point (4). Final pool coat surface is guaranteed for a period of 2 years only but does not include the gelcoat against blistering/osmosis or other water / chemical related problems. Any colours other than the standard White and Pale Blue are not guaranteed against discolouring, fading, streaking or blotching. Regards Jan Griesel

In all honesty, we were so nervous about the installation process having seen nightmare stories of awful pool companies on Hello Peter and even Carte Blanche but Phoenix Pools went above and beyond our expectations in installing our gorgeous pool in record time with no fuss and lots of expertise. I especially want to thank the two team leaders who managed our installation: Tembe and Charles. They were friendly, always on time and communicative and managed their team with confidence. After the first day our nerves were gone and by the 5th day, we were singing their praises to manager Phillip - another awesome member of Phoenix Pools who made sure all the tiling was on-point and who gave me a thorough pool maintenance lesson (which worked - because 2months in, our pool is still sparkling!) Thank you very much Phillip, Tembe, Charles and the rest of your team.

I contacted Phoenix pools in October 2019 via email and immediately received a response with regards to a quotation as well as confirmation that they were a registered NSPI company. Phillip came out to my property shortly after to do an assessment and quotation to complete my pool construction project (unfortunately we had been scammed by previously elected company). Phillip was extremely professional and provided us with excellent advice with regards to our site. He was always willing to take my calls and answer emails with regards to quotation amendments and queries. We accepted their quotation and have not looked back since. They always kept in contact with regards to days on site and I received daily updates on what had been done and what was going to be done next by their extremely capable, friendly and professional site manager Kramo. Poly Phoenix Pools is an extremely efficient and professional company that delivers on their promises. Not only do they provide you with an excellent product, they also have exemplary customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking at installing or renovating their swimming pool.
