First let me say thank you for letting my kids sit in the dark last night when they were at their dad's. As per your quote about arrears and recovery; "All recovery action must meet appropriate legal and regulatory standards. and early intervention in rent arrears is vital to ensure that relevant support and advice can be offered and rental loss is minimised or even completely avoided" Now, how did you meet appropriate legal standards when you switched off the electricity of my kids dads home yesterday.... just because he's 1 month late. The amount outstanding aint the full amount, he paid you somewhat R8000 and outstanding is R3700-00. He was retrenched earlier this year and now works for himself. He wasnt paid in full last month either. And to top it all off you just had to throw in a R450 penalty fee AND a R250 for the letter of demand? WOW, you def deserve an award for cleverness. He's been staying there almost 16months now, never missed a rent and now that he short paid his rent you go and turn off his electricity??! You are not authorised to do that in the first place. FYI Landlords must follow a legal process to disconnect a tenant's electricity, which includes providing notice, giving the tenant time to pay, and obtaining a court order. Did you give him time? NO. Did you have a court order? NO So how can you switch off his electricity?? And also, you ask for I think 3months full rent upfront before even moving in....now you're just handing out final notices and letter of demands lol its a joke! I would NEVER rent from you or even tell someone to use you.

If I could not give a star at all I would. Do not expect an answer to your emails and if they are responded to, the supposed "portfolio manager" does not read all the contents or address any issues but only seeks to forward the complaint to someone else to deal with. If you try to call in, you will be attended to with rudeness and an unwillingness to help. It appears that there is no management of the running of the company and the team is divided. Procedures are not followed and the tenants are held liable for anything they can pin on them. I work for a managing agent and it is interesting to see the level of service other managing agents deem acceptable. Especially considering the fact that they are utilizing such an advanced system such as WeConnectU.

We are on day 7 without power. We have engaged Pompa about the issue since the municipality says they are in arrears. They are claiming that their account is up to date and are nologer responding to our calls.

Watch out for this company! They will advertise properties that are "available", but then not pay you back R1600 lease fees when your application gets rejected. It's a nice little money making scheme they are running where they will get as many people to apply, getting them all to pay lease fees, and then not refunding them when they all get declined! BE WARNED!!! Go to any other realty like Jawitz or Home Properties instead. They don't charge you a cent for applying for a lease.

I am utterly disgusted in the service we have received from Pompa Realty Group. Not only do they render *********** but also completely inhumane. We have been tenants at one of their properties in Germiston and we have had the worst rental experience with them. Since the very first month that we have lodged maintenance reports they have not held up their end of the contract by providing a service to maintain said issues. After reading the reviews both here and on Google I see that this seems to be quite the trend at Pompa Realty Group. I am clearly not the only one who has experienced their incompetence. To add insult to injury, this would be the 7th day we are without electricity at the property due to "council disconnection", (which also happened without any notification or final notice which is what usually happens before a disconnect as far as we all know.) Then today, 7 days later, we are called and demanded to pay an outrageous outstanding amount of R7K before they reconnect. (for a property I literally had to move my family out of because it had been inhabitable for 7 days with no electricity. I have a baby who is chronically ill and we need machinery running to keep him breathing throughout the night) And even though I specifically made them aware of our situation with our little one, they did absolutley nothing to assist in getting us reconnected sooner. I am tired, I am disgusted and I am ready to take this matter further with the RHIO for ******* disconnection of utilities without a court order.

The worst agent I have ever seen. Complained about issues that need attention at property and they did not do anything. Now I have lost a TV and the apartment almost burnt as my microwave caught fire due to an unattended electric fault. All they do is increase rentals and charge interest for late payments.

Do not rent from Pompa Realty Group at all costs. They are deposit thieves as many of these other reviews confirm. Michael Pompa is arrogant and thinks he is above the world. They act tough on behalf of the landlord. Rather save yourself the hassle, and rent through another rental agency.
