I entered the swimming pool market with trepidation expecting the worse and hoping for the best. My goodness did this company preform. From my initial phone calls to site meetings and eventual completion I have nothing but praise for their work ethic and customer relations. They arrived the day the said they would and finished when forcast. The clean up and assitance with re establishing the garden was beyond expectations. On a web site that is generally reserved for rants about bad service it gives me great pleasure to buck the trend and be able to write something positive. Well done management and staff I will have no hesitation in reccomending you.

We had a pool installed in December 2019. We were given a two year guarantee but during the first year all the paving around the pool cracked and disintegrated. I contacted the company and they said the company had been sold and that the pavers were not included in the guarantee and they had since started using different paving slabs. They refused to honour the guarantee for the pavers. The piping used to solar heat the pool have now cracked and started leaking badly 3 years later. We have also had to replace the pool pump earlier this year. That’s just 3 years in , and it’s not looking good.

What a pleasure from start to finish working with Pooltopia pools to get our small pool installed. 1. We liaised with Alfonso and communication was a pleasure! He came onsite for a consult and answered ALL our questions (after an initial quote) and then updated everything according to our discussion. Emails were always responded to within a working day (usually first thing in the morning). 2. We used Pooltopia as our one-stop shop. They handled the architects, getting plans done up, plan submission, actual installation, and the electrical work. Everything was coordinated through Alfonso which removed the headache of keeping track of multiple parties (and reduced confusion when it came to payments). We also didn't have to start paying until our plans were finally approved, which was a huge relief as in the end that part of the process took months. Alfonso even managed to negotiate a slightly extended warranty on the shell for us. 3. Installation itself took three days and was far less messy and destructive than I was expecting. Carlos (the team lead) even came round on day four (a Saturday) to double-check that everything was still OK from the night before and working properly. (The formal handover happened a few days later once the pool had had a chance to settle, the building inspector had come to inspect, and we had received our electrical compliance certificate.) The reason this isn't a four-star rating is that, although it's perfectly acceptable and we're happy with the outcome, I think the quality of the plastering and tiling could be improved.

I have been emailing them since December 2020, as I would like to have a pool installed. It's now almost March 2021 and still they haven't come to do the site visit. I have sent over 15 emails to them requesting they come do the site visit so that we can proceed with the job. I called many times and no answer to the telephone number. They eventually replied last week to say they will do a site visit Friday 19 Feb 2021, on Friday I heard nothing from them. I made contact and nobody replied to my emails or answered the phone once again. I have never met these people, yet they refuse to reply to emails or do business with me. I have no choice but to look elsewhere. Never received such bad service in my life, they obviously don't need the business.

Had pool installed during the week of 27th of January 2020. Start to finish took 3 days. Great service from Chris and his team. Arrived on time on each and every occasion and site was kept in a neat and presentable condition throughout the project. The electrician, however, failed to arrive on the day he was supposed to and when he did arrive, the work was sub-standard. The issue was addressed with Chris and the electrician returned the following day and remedied the issues so no real problem in the end. I'm not sure who the actual manufacture of the pool shell is but can advise that this is the only real issue I have with the installation. The join where the two half shells are bonded is clearly visible and you can actually feel how one side is raised above the other. The first step has zero grip and is, in fact, extremely slippery and poses a serious risk to people getting in the pool. There are rough patches throughout the pool which should have been smoothed out. I know that Pooltopia do not manufacture the shells so I cant really blame them for this, however, I would suggest they inspect the shell on behalf of the customer and check that it is up to scratch before accepting delivery from the manufacturer. Am still awaiting the plans, however, Chris advised me he is checking in with the architect.

Unfortunately I have no choice to write a bad review for Pooltopia. I have made contact with Chris at Pooltopia with regards to a crack that formed at the bottom of my pool after about 6 years of using it. I contacted Chris on 12-11-2019 and explained the situation. I was asked to take photos and send an email so that Chris can contact the manufacturer Pools For Africa, who issued a 10 years manufactures warranty, to come and repair the pool. Confirmation was provided a day later from Pooltopia that the manufacturer was advised of the problem I waited for the manufacturer to contact me, but I heard nothing and phoned them directly on 25-11-2019. I then spoke a gentleman who advise that they are aware of the problem and that they come to my house as soon as possible, They did advise the are very busy due it being season time. I have advised Pooltopia / Chris again on 09-12-2019 that I'm still waiting for someone to come fix my pool. He advised he will speak to the manufacturer again, but since then Chris has ignored my whatsapp messages and phone calls sighting that load shedding made receiving calls difficult. I have also tried calling Pool for Africa on 12-12-19 and 17-12-19, but nobody is answering the phone. I guess they closed for the year and that they will not be able to fix my pool, which is now basically empty and having a risk of being pushed out due to pressure. I keep Pooltopia responsible for this ordeal since I paid them to install the pool. I understand that one can be busy installing new pools, but what about your past clients who paid for your pool? Think it's only fair to advise other potential clients of the risk of bad after sales service.
