Prestige is the metering company responsible for installing electricity meters at the previous flat that I lived at. Upon moving in Prestige did not come through to check our meter box to ensure that everything was in order. A few months later they send someone through to our flat under false pretence of "maintenance". This person comes through and does something with the meter box so I send an email to inquire only for them to reply to my email weeks later with a bill of R6289.49 which they demanded I pay within 3 days. They claim that the meter was bypassed. I don't see how that was my fault as I didn't bypass the meter and it should have been check when I moved in. They installed it and used this method to make money out of the tenants with the threat of disconnecting the electricity and water. They have no remorse towards their clients and everything is about making money. They are ********* and left many tenants in major financial issues.

In November 2016 I relocated from JHB to Durban. My son attended a beautiful school called Prestige Baby Alberton. We loved it, it was the school that stole our hearts at first sight due to the professional nature of the owner and the principle. They were all so loving and the environment was healthy, clean and tidy at all times. We could walk in with our fingerprint accesss at any time.

So, without hesitation we transferred our son to Prestige Umhlanga. However this franchise was completely different. My son started in a certain teachers class who he said he liked, however he cried almost every morning; I assumed he was just settling in (he started Mid November toget a feel for it before they closed) and when they reopened we thought he would become settled faster, since it was no longer new. However they assigned the principal to teach his class, preschool, and she was not suited for the position clearly because the kids did not like her and she did not want to teach anymore so they gave this class back the 1st teacher they had in 2016. SO much change for the little ones, Anyway, my son constantly complained about being hungry, so I started sending healthy snacks as per the schools guidlines; something I NEVER did in JHB. He however then complained they would not follow them to the toilets to help them, and my son was constantly crying about this as he was left unnacompanied in the school toilet. He cannot wipe him bottom clean on his own, he is only a preschooler. They go to the toilet barefoot, parents have no access to the camera's; always some excuse or the other; no fingerprint access for the parents. My son came home so hungry from school the one day (the day I decided enough was enough) that he cried for 2 hours traumatised; We also called the school principal who made every excuse under the son for her school and her staff; then she refused to refund us saying that we had to give a terms notice. Under normal circumstances yes, but not under duress; which is what my son's situaion was. The Franchise Owner (of all the franchises) was copied on the mails and ignored everything, which is very sad. I would urge you to please check out other schools before considering enrolling your child in this school or the other 2 that she is opening in the north (Umhlanga/Mount Edgecombe) They also do not have access to fresh air and proper out door play areas, my son has gained 2 kgs in 3 weeks at the new school, he does not cry every morning and he is now a happy child.

Just had a shocker with Prestige in Douglasdale. I initially handed in some dry-cleaning & alterations and paid for these up-front, but they neglected to put a \paid"on the invoice. It was pretty chaotic in the shop with one person doing the tailoring and taking my money"

I took my dress for dry cleaning on because a slice of cake had fallen on it. This was on 24 December 2014 and I was told to come back on Wednesday. I went bacK and noticed that the stain was still there. The lady helping me offered to send it back and she said it would be ready after one week. She phoned me after one week and told me to come pick up my dress and I told her I W's coming. She then rung me again to say that actually the dress was not there So I should come the next day. There was still no dress when I went back. She apologised and said she would follow up on what was really happening. She phoned the people where the dress was and she was told it would be sent after a few days. I went back expecting to find my dress and I was told the dress had still not come. The lady assisting me said her boss Wendy would phone me as she was not sure what was happening with the dress. She said maybe the dress was damaged and it was only Wendy who could really tell me what was going on. Well, all I can say is that I am still waiting for Wendy, the boss to call me. She is never in when I go there.I still do not have my dress almost two months later. I really need some help!
