It's no wonder cinemas are near empty and closing down all over the country. When one goes to see the same movie for the second time, the Ster-Kinekor cards do not permit the discount. One would think Ster-Kinekor would be delighted to have us back for any movie on a second or more occasions! Seems not!
Waiting to hear further about paying a R140 fee to change R200 into R10 notes. I wrote a review, I received an apology and now? Does the iniquitous charge remain?
Shock of the decade. A few weeks ago I asked for change for R200 in R10 notes. No problem. Yesterday - same request. I was advised there is now a fee for this. The fee was R140!!!!! Yes, R140 fee to change R200 into R10 notes! Obviously I did not go ahead with such highway *******. Oh, this only applies to one's personal accounts, not business accounts. Please do not email me nor phone me. Just do something about this. BTW, the R10 notes are used entirely for tips - garage attendants, parking attendants and similar.
Enough now. SBSA charges are insane. Why R70 for a credit card monthly fee PLUS R40 monthly service fee! Plus the rest eg R9,50 to do an EFT via one's credit card! The increase from R60 to R70 for the monthly card fee is over and above even 10%! Millions of credit cardholders times R10 each! Work that one out! Everything is digital, no need for this! Time to move on! There are numerous other banks!
Always great service! Won't go elsewhere!! Please stay at the Forum!!
Brown's Jewellery Store, Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton. Superb service from Vera and all employees, beautiful packaging, gifts when purchasing (love my Alexander bear!) and classic items which will last forever. Finally, let's not forget the excellent cappuccino served while being attended to! Don't hesitate to shop there!
Is it truly possible that the opera movies at Rosebank Cinema Nouveau now cost R500 for 2 people! That's the full price. With SK senior cards - one of which suddenly refuses to be app**** when booking online - there does not seem to be any reduction. These are not annual or even bi-annual increases! These are almost monthly increases! I hope SK is not surprised that cinemas are closing down all over the country. Hopefully Nu Metro will take over. Cheaper and wonderful reclining seats! We won't even discuss the cost of a small popcorn and/or drink, both of which we easily do without. Another two patrons lost to SK.
Glad to hear banks' charges are in the spotlight! About time too! They are increasing regularly for no reason. Suddenly I am charged R60 a month for using a credit card PLUS R40 a month service fee for such credit card! This is insane! Plus bank charges on a current account plus R9,50 for every EFT payment using such credit card which is NEVER in arrears - paid in advance! I then earn 2 to 4 cents interest! These charges are now out of control and I sincerely hope something will come of the current complaints.
All I will say is "Don't Use Them"! No call centre, debiting one's credit card when one does not have a subscription, can't speak to anyone, refunds take forever....Enough said!
I would not like this to happen for all staff employed by Ster Kinekor but it deserves to have all cinemas closed down. Is it surprised that cinemas are so empty with the almost monthly increases in ticket prices! It's a disgrace! End of December a SK Seniors ticket price was R110 and a month later it is R120! This is not an annual increase, it's a regular increase. Does Ster Kinekor think we don't notice the increases! Well, we do and are attending the venues less and less often - until we won't attend at all. Never mind lights that don't go off, no-one in attendance at the coffee counter etc etc as per other reviews. Shame on you Ster Kinekor!
