Be careful of this company. I signed up thinking it was on a month-to-month basis. The charge came off my bank account for 6 months. I used it for about 2 weeks and then stopped my account and profile and deleted the app. Then after 6 months they just automatically renewed the subscription and deducted R1014.00 from my account without consent or notice. After I was able to finally contact them to request a refund, I was notified that they won’t refund the money and that I can use the site for 6 months even though I wont be using it. They can essentially charge you indefinitely without notice.

Sadly I fell for the over-the-phone promotion where you receive the Samsung Galaxy S7 on it's release date in March 2016.

First thing MTN says is that i will forfeit my R7000+ worth of airtime as im not able to transfer my minutes from my then Call 140 topup to my new Anytime 350.- I deal with it and accept it.

Secondly the phone arrives 8 days late after I had to beg and chase the courier company to deliver the phone.

Thirdly the home button is faulty.-I take it in and Samsung fixes it after shunting me around for a whole day. They then say sorry by giving me a micro SD card. Samsung you're forgiven and it's seldomn i've receive bad service from them.

Fourth I get a very high first bill 30% over my contract (PSD bill) and go in to the MTN shop in Sandton where i ask that they set a limit to my account so that i can't over spend on my budget. They tell me it's not possible and my contract doesn't allow for a limit! How is that possible? Does that not put a contract holder at an extreme risk like point 5 to follow?

Fith, After numerous issues with me not being able to see my correct data balance on the MTN app and *141*1# I check my balance again this morning and see that I still have 400mb left on my data bundle but somehow my R800+ Airtime balance has disappeared. Then I get a message from MTN to say that my account has been suspended. I phone for about an hour with no luck of anyone attending to me, whilst holding on I then go online and get the shock of my life! My account is R151 000.00. And this for 2.2Gb of PSD data!!! I immediately rushed to MTN in Sandton and they weren't able to help me except for unblock my phone and whilst I sit and wait 4 more clients with similar issues arrive. I get a reference #( ********** 08) and am told they're attending to it. It's now 5 hours later and while i've been on WiFi at work my mobile bill since increased R5490.24 for 5mb of PSD calls whilst I still have an active internet bundle of R405.18mb... Yes that is R1098.05 per MEGABYTE!!! or $81.14 per mb!!! My total bill is now R156 842.78... Guess they'll have to come and fetch my car for 2GB of data... Obviously South Africa is the most expensive country for mobile data!

MTN please fix this asap!
