Supplier has Absconded - New Kitchen Installation Incomplete

<p>We awarded the installation of a new Kitchen at our home to Active Kitchens cc (also known as Active Cabinets cc). Business owner is Mr Pasqualino Scognamiglio. (Known as Lino)<br />Active Kitchens/Cabinets have absconded during the installation, and have failed to refund us for the hardware not supplied, and the labour not completed.<br />The delivered & installed cabinets are the incorrect size. This was a result of their failure to check the measurements once they had removed the old kitchen cabinets. There is a large gap between the full-wall cabinet and adjacent wall.<br />The installation team worked without supervision, which resulted in delays and unsatisfactory work standards. (Misaligned doors, draw and cupboard handles installed incorrectly, etc). <br />Lino visited our home LESS than once per week, to check the work progess.<br />The installed stone top on the island was the incorrect colour. I had to manage the communications with the supplier to have this changed. Active Kitchens/Cabinets did not send a member of their team to be present at the time of the replacement top being installed. This also resulted in complications as no one was onsite to cut the wooden carcass where needed.<br />We have provided Lino with a detailed report, in writing, of the items paid for, but not supplied. (Full door panel. hinges, kick-plates, top fillers between  cabinets to ceiling, etc)<br />We requested a refund so that we could contract an alternative company to complete the project. (I have been unable to prepare food in my kitchen for 6 weeks now. This is an urgent matter for a mother!)<br />It has been confirmed by employees of the stone-tops supplier that the Active Kitchen/Cabinets installation team are currently busy with a kitchen installation elsewhere.<br />Lino has failed to respond to our communications. (Telephone calls, SMS and emails)<br />Regretably, we are now left with no option but to start legal action immediately.</p>
