<p>I was scammed last year in connection with a course we registered for through this company, where the course was cancelled the day before it was set to run. Conveniently, the owner Andile Dliwayo, stopped taking our calls and responding to emails, when we requested a refund.</p> <p> </p> <p>I received another email for a course to run in November today, from Mersey Corporate Consultants. I note that they now include on their application to attend the course, the following condition:</p> <p>"No refunds will be paid for cancellations as this creates administratio hassles."</p> <p> </p> <p>Please be aware of the company, as you will also risk losing money for fictitious courses.</p>
<p>In July I made a purchase on my account. The cashier advised me that there are new terms and conditions, and that in order to purhcase, I needed to accept them. I asked whether there would be any effect to my account, she advised me that there wouldn't. At the end of that month, I received an account with a service charged to it.</p> <p> </p> <p>I queried this and requested that it be reversed, as I had not been advised there would be a service fee to be charged to my account at the time of accepting this. Had I been aware of this, I would NOT have agreed. (What is the point of having an interest free account if you now have to pay a service in lieu of interest??) I advised that I wanted the service reversed and that I would be closing my account as soon as it is settled, due to this. I also requested that the acceptance of the terms and conditions be revoked, as there was no consensus on the terms and conditions.</p> <p> </p> <p>Communication around the charging of a service fee, had never been provided to me either, prior to the fee being charged.</p> <p> </p> <p>After numerous calls to the centre (I'm still waiting for teamleaders / a manager to call me) complaining about this, I was advised that I signed that docet and it cannot be reversed. (And that once accepted on the system, and cannot be reversed, which is ludicrous.)</p> <p> </p> <p>This is just unacceptable and just unethical.</p> <p> </p> <p>I will never shop at Edgars again.</p> <p> </p> <p>Service in general is terrible, as experienced by dealings with the accounts call centre.</p>
