This company is ignoring my request to cancel a contract with them. I have sent them over 5 emails with regards, and, every time I call the contact centre or accounts department I am told someone will call me back or, put on hold for up to 10 minutes. This is causing a huge problem for me because they debit my account outside off the agreed upon amount and continue to charge me for "excessive responses" meaning my alarm has gone off 8 times (8 times!) during loadshedding which I cannot personally account for. I have tried to negotiate with them when the only person who responded to my request to cancel promised to refund me for all the erroneous charges. The timeframe given for these reasons was missed by them and they are not responding to my emails on this account rectification as well, neither are they ever calling me back every time I phone them and ask for resolution. I am now stuck as my bank cannot cancel the debits for me and are saying that ADT must be the ones to cancel my contract.
Uber has charged me R208 for a 5km trip to my office that I requested at 9.04am. The initial value of this trip was R54 and it was to be discounted to R0. 00 because of an Uber promo that is running for every 6th trip taken. I arrived at my office at 9.30am instead of 9.15 following some trouble with the driver, which I had immediately reported to Uber via the App During the trip,. He was parked in the middle of a public road refusing to move after a wrong turn he had taken that led us into a tricky industrial area, and was insisting that his GPS had led him that way. I got him to take me to my office after a few minutes of begging (this was still a 5km trip and no further except for some maneuvering out of the unfamiliar area after his wrong turn). I used my own GPS to get us out of there and have record that it was a 5km trip! But to my surprise, this selfsame completed trip, which was actually marked as a free one due to Uber's promotion, was changed to 'cancelled' 3 hours after I had been dropped off at my office and then recalculated to R208! The initial value of my 5km trip to the office was, again, R54 but discounted to R0. 00 and this is still reflected on a scren shot I took from my trip history which has dates and times. I was however charged 4 times the value this in the end even though the distance reflected on the email bills sent to me by Uber show the distance to still be one of 5km. I have sent Uber numerous Pleas for help as well as screen shots and photos that prove that the driver had acted unprofessionally during the trip, as well as screen shots that prove that Uber ignored my requests for help during this 5km trip when I at first felt endangered, but Uber is ignoring all of my evidence sent to them, and choosing to send me generalized answers that do not speak to the matter I am presenting but rather try to claim that the driver deserved this exorbitant amount charged to me. Uber has sent me two conflicting email bills for this same trip today: one enail bill says that I traveled with Goodwill for a 5km trip at 9.04am which cost around R80 but was discounted to R0.00; the other says that a differing 5km trip by a driver named Costas began after 10am and was canceled at 12.24am therefore justifying their adjustment of Goodwill's 9.04am promo ride from R0. 00 to R208. The app itself shows that I requested a 5km trip from Goodwill at 9.04am valued at R54 and discounted to R0. 00 and also that this same ride became R208 at 12.24. Uber is refusing to pay me back despite all the emails, Google map distances that correlate with Uber map distances, and screen shots of various texts for help that have been sent in an effort to resolve this clear bungle up.
I would like to express my utter disgust at treatment received from this surgery recently. I phoned to make a very simple request: please reprint my daughters chronic medication prescription which had 6 repeats, of which I have already used 2 without an original copy as it was lost. Thrown away by mistake at my office following a scanned email to the pharmacist. The reception treated me like I was haggling for free repeats even after we had 'ironed the matter out' over 5 or 6 phone calls for clarity! She spoke to me terribly in front of other patients and refused me correction of the incorrect script she was offering which only covered the medicines Already taken out. She also refused me a chance to address the matter with the doctor be it even by email. She tried to teach me about doctor patient privacy policies at my ripe old age of 37 as a way to avoid posing the right query to the doctor as she was clearly gatekeeping. She even lied and said they had called my pharmacist when they had obviously not done so. As it stands, I now have to find another doctor to go to after only 2 pharmacy take-outs of this repeat-prescription, and with absolutely no need for a follow-up on the patient at present. I found the office extremely rude, judgmental and not fitted for handling matters of health and wellbeing. She went as far as telling me in a condescending manner to take the cost-efficient advise as of I was looki g to save money by asking for a simple reprint of the record in my daughter's file. This surgery should be avoided if you are looking for a respectable African service provider. I am livid. I am shocked that such people can claim to be serving anyone's most sacred health needs and requirements. This surgery is based at Bromhof Shopping Center. I have used the same pharmacist for over 5 years now, and will simply replace the middlemen doctors who seem to think they are dealing with medicine peddlers instead of someone's parents!
Good day, The Sabc has chased me for about 2 years now over an annual TV license I do not owe. My account is up to date and the manager has promised 3 times now that he would make a note on my account, this after I had sent proof of payment for the year in question all 3 times by email. I pay my TV license annually and have been endeavoring to do so before the deadlines. I do not know how else to resolve this matter. Worst is, my husband and I are still paying for 2 licenses for 1 household because I am unable to settle this dispute so that we can close one of our accounts. Every few months somebody phones me and not only is it disruptive to my workday but highly distressing because of the bad credit record I am enduring based on the organisation's complete lack of regard.

Sandton Checkers is apparently a haven for shoplifters and pick pocketers to the point where some customers suspect the staff.

I was pickpocketed last week Thursday and lost a R9000 smart phone that was only 5 months old.

I waited 47 minutes while one helpful security guard tried to explain to the cameraman that a customer needed to locate the person who'd just robbed her possibly by the tills. When I gave up on waiting because the robber was by then long gone and I was tired of hearing things like "the camera does not reach the till you were at" - I went to see the store manager who shifted the blame to me because while repeatedly checking my handbag for the phone, I'd left the zip open! He told me that my ophone was stolen because I am careless with my bag, then he then took my details down and promised to contact me with the footage even after the fact so that he can tell me 'the loophole' that allowed for the robbery. 8 days later, no one has contacted me. The lady in the camera room tells me that she has no idea of my case - was not informed to investigate - and they are in any case too busy with a big sale to assist me today.

I am absolutely appalled and feel the store actively enables crime and does not have the right security measures in place to protect anyone if they can take 47 minutes simnply trying to locate your face at the till even after you have given them a time stamp almost immediately after the crime incident.
