I attended a free 2h evening workshop in Tauranga, New Zealand where the 3 day course was advertised. It was made clear that if one signed up for the course on the night but changed ones mind within 7 days, one would be entitled to a full refund. I questioned Lauren Bickley (who was in charge of processing the payments for signing up on the evening) as to the legitimacy of this 7 day refund. She ensured me that if I changed my mind, my money would be refunded. It has been over 2 months since first requesting a refund (4 days after signing up for and paying for the course). I have been in contact both with Lauren Bickley and Stacey Hill. Initially they communicated with me telling me that my refund request had been passed on to senior management and should be processed within 21 working days. No refund ever came and despite my numerous e-mails and letter of complaint they are still ignoring me. Clearly I have been caught up in a scam. I have contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau, Netsafe and the Commerce Commission to report Legacy Education Alliance. It is becoming clear that they have no intentions of responding to my e-mails or refunding my money. Stay well away from them!
