<p>We employed GEO to handle all of our HR & related issues, specifically with regard to disciplinary hearings & the procedures around them. Having built a business from sctatch, we had learned the hard & expensive way that the best way to deal with staff issues, is to follow procedures 100%. In order to do that, we employed GEO as the professionals to guide us in these matters. We have just come out of a CCMA hearing where our former employee was awarded a MASSIVE sum of money on the basis that the termination was procedurally unfair. This was a case handled in it's entirety by GEO. The initial reaction of GEO's was to agree with the findings of the CCMA, until I pointed out to them that since they had run the entire process from start to end, I expected some type of compensation from them. They then did an about turn and claimed that perhaps the case could be reviewed, it would just cost me more money. That is blatant con-artist type behaviour. </p> <p>I would STRONGLY suggest that anyone that has a need for an outsourced HR type company does NOT even consider GEO. </p>
