Woolworths food is fantastic! Food is always of the best quality and more than happy to exchange clothing or food.

I bought a Puma fore-arm band to put my phone in so its easier to do a workout. I bought the arm band from FIT gymwear which is located right before you enter the Point Virgin Active. Later that day i decided to go past a sports store in Sea-Point and saw an arm band i really liked from Nike, so i bought it.

I then decided to keep the Nike one and return the Puma arm band to FIT. When going into the shop the woman who worked there said i cant return the arm band. I told her that the receipt says at the bottom i am able to return within 14 days for exchange or refund, just not on swimwear or sale items. She apologised and told me there is nothing she can do as she cant give me my money back of R340. I told her to call the manager and she did and the manager agreed that i cant get my money back. The arm band was in perfect condition, in the packing with the receipt. I then decided i would email and then if i got no reply i would call the owner.

Today, i called the head office where i got forwarded to the owner. She said she was aware who i was and said i wont be able to refund me. She said "Pumi" made me aware i couldnt return. I told her she needs to do what her receipt says and she said she will not be returning my money and said i am plain rude. She asked me twice if i used the arm band for a photo-shoot ( knowing i am a photographer) and i explained to her that i just decided to buy another arm band and that a customer does not need to explain why they are bringing somethinhg back.

I told her this is not right and its written on her receipt and then i asked her if she is aware what her receipt's say. She said she is aware but she will not be giving me my money back. I told her i took it back within 14 days in packing with the receipt. After another 10 minutes of her accusing me of using the arm band for a photo-shoot,sweating in it and changing my mind on what i want she finally said," whatever, just take the arm band back and get your money and please dont ever walk into one of my stores again." I told her thats fine with me and then she continued to tell me not to waste her time before ending the phone call.

I went 2 hours later back to the store where i saw the lady who worked there, Pumi, being very helpful to the lady before me. When i told her its ridiculous that there are different rules than the receipt she told me her boss had a voice note for me. She played this voice note for me which had her boss saying ," Tell that customer she is not welcome to buy anything from my stores."

I told Pumi this is shocking customer service and that she has a bad attitutude. She then had a bit of a giggle.

I am SHOCKED. Why did i get treated like this? surely when a receipt says i can return within 14 days i am able to do so? also without a fight and attitude.

Want to mention the SHOCKING customer service we got at HandBag & Luggage- long story short- bought a bag that was pretty close to pieces after a three month trip - ripped side and wheels stopped rolling (had to actually carry the 24kg bag on my own)- we took the bag in and they said sorry the bags warranty was over- so then took the bag to another store that fixed it for R600/ then finding out our bag actually is under warranty for 5 years .

We went back in and they said no one here would have said that and sent us back and forward to the store that fixed the bag.. To sum up they are not refunding us and never once apologised about giving us the wrong information - we wouldn't have spent that money if we were told the bag was still on warranty.. He then asnwered a phone call. After telling him this is shocking service and I will make sure to let people know about this, he told me I can do so as the shop has been running for 15 years .. Never again
