Last year I saw a flat advertised by Jazmax Verulam since I was relocating, contacted the agent and we agreed that i take a flat. I paid deposit, rental and admin fee end of November 2022. I was unable to come and view the flat as I was in another province but was ok with pictures and the word of the agent. I was promised that the gate has remote. On the 12th December I came to Durban which is where was relocating to and asked the agent to take me to the flat, to my suprised there were pain containers inside everywhere, flat was very dirty and not ready bear in mind I paid the full amount on the 30th of November and on the 12th flat is still not ready. Ok had to go back to Capetown and permanently came back to Durban on the 19th the flat was like rush rush cleaning was done, shower was dirty and stinking, the oven of stove dirty even had bones inside. Gate remote not working there was a lick in the bathroom. I was so frustrated with relocation and now this. They promised to attend to my complaints its been almost a year now, the remote of the gate sill not working. Sometimes the gate is left wide open even at night, the oven still dirty and cant use it. I had to clean the shower by self. I had 3 licks in the bathroom since I stayed here which makes the house like there is dam, the plumber was called by after fixing the problem I have to clean. I lost my dress in the washing line because the gate is always open. The lady from office called me in October asking if I renew the contract, told her about all my complaints and said I will renew for 3 month but problems must be fixed, she agreed. Later I was called by the agent I was dealing with told him same thing anyway he know about all my complaints and he has been promising to fix but nothing is done. The admin lady sent me email after my conversation with agent asking me if I am renewing (so its third time am being ask same question) I gave same response and told her about my ongoing complaints and she said I must speak to the agent or the landlord. I asked if Jazzmax have to escalate complaints and I was responding to Jazzmax email add, then she sent me contract with increase and said I must write down my complaints. Not sure wheathere they think am stupid.
