My sister-in-law has been battling to get documents from Standard Bank that are required for insurance that needs to be paid on her deceased husband's car. They have spent over a year sending the incorrect documents with the incorrect initials and now they are refusing to release the ownership documents for the insurance company to pay the balance on the vehicle. In the meanwhile my sister-in-law has had to sell everything she has to survive. The insurance company also found a discrepancy on the statement and Standard Bank refuse to explain the discrepancy and are now ignoring all calls and emails from the estate attorney and the insurance company. Meanwhile the crippling interest is climbing on the outstanding balance of the vehicle. How is it fair that my sister-in-law must pay for their incompetence, she'll be lucky to get out with the clothes on her back by the time this estate has come to an end. Please don't get vehicle insurance, do your will or get any form of insurance through Standard Bank, they don't care about people. Urge your elderly parents to switch to another bank or you will regret it when dealing in with their estate. Please get out before it's too late!!!!!!!
I have just been contacted by Kaelo on behalf of Dischem after cancelling my insurance with them two years ago, demanding I pay 1 cent for a shortfall on a consultation I don't even recall having. I never received a statement two years ago but now I'm being told I must just make an eft payment. I used to work in accounts and we never harassed people for an outstanding 1 cent, we wrote off the amount. This is utterly ridiculous. This seems highly irregular and I'm considering contacting the insurance ombudsman as they don't seem interested in assisting me and just tell me to pay. Is this just a ploy to reactivate my account?
#SupportLocal we moved to PE hoping to find a nice place to get fresh breads and pies and all things sweet and we found it at knead more bakery, the pies taste amazing full of meat and not just source. The smell of walking in warms your soul and the start are very friendly and helpful.
I was recently contacted by Executive Career Program Networks via email informing me that I have a job offer and that I will start working within the next week or two but I must first contact Smith Corps for a background check for my new employers. I was initially confused as they addressed me as "Dear Applicant" and not by my name and they didn't say which company wants to hire me and thirdly I couldn't understand why I was responsible to get a background check for a company that wants to hire me, surely that is the recruitment agencies responsibility. I replied to the email asking for further information but the email failed saying that the address cannot be found. Immediately warning lights went off. I then received a follow up email from Executive Career Program Networks but from a different person expressing the urgency for me to get my background check so they can finalize my job offer. I then searched for smith Corps and found what looked like a legit website and emailed them for information. They replied with a form requesting all of my personal information and they were even so kind to offer me a background check at half price. Being the o.c.d person I am, I immediately spotted grammatical and spelling errors all over the documents. I decided to write it off and have no further contact with either company. I also saw another review online for Smith Corps where a person was promised a job and was told to contact Smith Corps. they paid the fee for background check and never heard from them again. I'm relieved I didn't give them any personal information. Apart from stealing your money there is the fear of identity theft. There are people out there taking advantage of decent hard working people who are desperate to find work, please be careful when looking for work online. Here is a link that you can look at for tips and warning signs when looking for work online: https://www.thebalancecareers.com/top-job-scam-warning-signs-2062181. Please don't make payment or give any personal information away online with a promise of a job.
