I hired Genevieve Wood in September 2024 to help edit my MA dissertation because I knew that my language needed work. I paid in full as she offers a discount, this was a mistake, never pay in full. My deadline was in November. She missed my deadline, demanded more money, and made excuses of readability - which is ironic because it's her job to fix this, and she never complained initially of this issue, when I gave her my sample draft before I paid her. She is very rude to work with and verbally aggressive. And a few other people who have had experiences with her share this same experience I had. Please go through the vetted university editors. It's more reliable. And less traumatic of an experience.
Amazing authentic Italian food. I highly recommend. And waiters are very accommodating and the owner very kind.

She took the money and stalled the editing services until my deadline and made me miss my deadline for my dissertation. Very aggressive over email, and verbally abusive. Best authentic Mexican food I have had in a while, and at such good prices too! We had the prawn tostadas and hard-shell chicken nachos; it was very filling and packed with flavour, and the food was made with fresh ingredients, you could taste it. And they have an array of shooters that come in so many interesting flavours - this I would like to try at my next visit.
My mother's birthday fell on the same day as Mother's Day this year, the 12th. And despite their initial terrible customer service over the phone (in making changes to the booking), Just Teddy's went above and beyond to make our lunch memorable. I highly recommend the high tea, it is enough for 2 people - so filling you won't need to order more - salmon cream cheese bagels, cucumber cheese bagels, fluffy scones, mini chicken burgers, and the airiest pastries, and honestly, the best macarons I have ever eaten that come in so many flavours. They also have dozens of teas, I tried the creamy caramel, and it was perfect, not too sweet. The decor, the smell of Jasmine wafting in the air, and classical music, coupled with the dainty treats felt like something straight out of Bridgerton. They gave us a booth and a free birthday cake - as an apology for the rudeness over the phone 2 days prior - and it made my mom's birthday/Mother's Day even more special. She was so happy. Customer Service is atrocious, and absolutely rude over the phone. I spoke to Eve the manager at Just Teddy's Hyde Park, about my reservation on the 12th of May at 13:30, or should I say tried speaking to her. But she put the phone down on me whilst I was talking to her. I understand that this may be their busiest time with the upcoming Mother's Day, but still, it is no way to speak to your customer. I needed my reservation changed, or help changing my reservation from 3 people to 2 people as my father is unable to make it back from a business trip in time. The least they could do was deal with my query in a kind and respectful manner or explain to me if it's unable to be changed (because we later found out that we are unable to change it). I called 2 times before speaking to Eve, and each time I was told they could not speak to me now, they would call back in 5 minutes, and yet they did not. I wasted airtime following up and trying to get through. They are exceptionally rude when dealing with customers. I truly am not looking forward to our time there on the 12th, if their service in person is just as bad, I would say that they are all name (status), and not actually worth it.
I absolutely love animals, I am a bit terrified of spiders yes, but I love dogs, cats, snakes, hamsters, etc. And so the idea of babysitting fur babies was a dream job to me. I loved all the pets I took care of. And I still remember them by name and have fond memories of each of them. Yes this was a job, but I miss the pets I took care of, it's hard not to bond with them during your care. I worked at Caity Cares from September - December 2022. It was shortlived because of how I was treated by management, Caity Rolles mother, who also manages employees. I suffer from chronic migraines, that cause disorientation, severe pain, nausea, and I simply cannot function. On my last job, I had one, but I continued to finish the job I was on. Unfortunately I could not make it to the next job, these migraines last for days when I get them. This is what Caity Rolles mother had an issue with. She suggested I spend R600 on seeing a doctor in the area - mind you, this job does not pay much, that would be almost 3/4 of my earnings - or drive 45 minutes home to my doctor, in my disorientated state. I understand the client had already paid, and we're not technically and by contract allowed to pull out unless the company can find another sitter in time. I begged Caity Rolles mom to please ask in the company if another sitter is available. It took a while and a lot of begging for her to finally enquire. All the time, she was absolutely rude to me. And ignoring my pleas for help. They finally found someone, Caity Rolles brother, I was so grateful to him. I find it ironic that a company about care does not care that their employees are unwell, but still have to do the job, they force you. If this were just a flu I would have still done it, but I've actually been in a minor accident (reversed into a pole) because I once tried driving in this state. The company should have emergency petsitters who they pay a bit more to take over these last minute jobs, these emergencies. Caity Rolles mother has passively aggressively pushed jobs onto me, when they are supposed to be jobs I chose to do based on my ability and schedule. The company is amazing at finding excellent petsitters. And the petsitters really care about your pets. But the company can do better with having measures in place to allow their sitters to recover when illness strikes. Please be aware when applying to work there of these circumstances. They are always hiring.
