unethical business | CPA breach of contract :: #misleadingbusinessname

<p>These guys faxed me back in 25 November 2014 to have my business listed in the white pages and online (which i already was with Trudon, the actual company that lists numbers for the white pages) and to have my webiste optimised on google (which already was SEO) and to have my advert listed on their website.</p> <p>Having their business name very similar to the actual directory services, i was misguided to the fact that my information update was due for renewal.  They billed me for R 8071.20 which i guess is for the year and to be listed, as i couldnt afford this payment in 1 lump sum, the manager and i agreed that i could pay this over a few months with an upfront payment of R500, when the new books came out i noticed that i was not listed, brewing my curiosity, i called in enquiring as to why i was not listed, they then said to me that i wouldnt be rendered any service until all money has been paid.</p> <p>As per our verbal agreement where the company could have amended their dodgy (and probably not CPA compliant) looking agreement. They did not render a service to me. they said that they did list me on their website atleast and they made an AD for me. I wish i could find the jpeg of my AD, firstly they did not ask for any persmission to use my material for their manipulation, but the AD looked like it was made by a 3 year old on MS Paint, and they listed an AD that was not vetted by me for confirmation and the fact that they spelled my business name wrong including the fact that the AD did not display an service that i offered. I then proceeded to go to http://directoryservices.co.za/ ..... EPIC fail, they dont even own this website their website at the time was directoriesservices2.co.za or .com, their website looked like a cemetry where website go to die, i asked them how much traffic they get to their websiter, they wouldnt say, if i were to assume, i dont think the website gets any kind of traffic they they want to charge for me being listed on their website. I asked for a refund and/or cancellation, they didnt contact me for months, and then all of a sudden a company called DDR Legal Collections calls me demanding money. I tell them my story as above, they dont respond, until a year later a new lady contacts me, i tell them the same story, they dont contact me, a few months later a new lady contacts me demanding money, i tell them the same story, and no one responds to me. this goes on for 2 years until 3 days ago a new lady calls me i knew she was new as everytime a consultant from DDR calls me they dont know my story, what kind of company gives a new employee the job to collect money from a client they been fighting with for the pass 2 and half years.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>they then make a new AD for me using my own advertising materials, they want to charge me for for an AD that i made myself.</p> <p> </p> <p>This just shows you how unorganised directories services 2!!!! are and their collection department is.</p> <p>and they have the nerve to ask me for money for "services rendered"!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>what service?????</p> <p> </p> <p>DDR legal has the nerve to throw a half written by a child, misleading and non CPA compliant agreement at me and expect recourse?!?! </p> <p> </p> <p>What are you thinking?! are you serious?!</p> <p> </p> <p>next time you call me, i will be happy to send you the link of this complaint.</p> <p> </p> <p>there is a level of class and standard that a business should uphold. you cant sell dog s#it and expect me to pay for it.</p> <p> </p> <p>READ  THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, NO 68 OF 2008 and then get back to me.</p> <p>do your research before going into business with them even being employed by them.</p> <p> </p> <p>Directoreis services and DDR are the same, i asked for the owner of the company as i wanted correspondence from them directly on a proper lettrehead....mmmmm yeah you guessed right... no repsonse.</p> <p>And they want ot threaten me with an agreement, the agreement is as good as a door weight and will not hold up in court, so goodluck coming at me.</p> <p> </p> <p>Great lead for Carte Blanche, if any of you that took the time to read this please comment on this complaint on what your experience was, i am sure that if we have enough i can print and post this to them, i dont think they realise how much K@k they are causing.</p>
