I had an absolute nightmare dealing with this company and their arrogant 26 year old rich-kid "CEO" Tameez Abramjee. I'm still not sure if this is a scam operation or just a terribly run business. At the end of August I ordered 1x Antminer D3 from Tagoc. I then requested to cancel my order in September. At the time, an employee from Tagoc said that was no problem and they would issue my refund shortly. They also said they would deduct a 10% cancellation fee, but I informed them this was not mentioned in their T's and C's. Their website didn't even have a T's and C's page when I made my purchase or when I requested my refund. The employee from Tagoc acknowledged this and said my full 100% payment will be issued. (they have since added a T's and C's page to their website, and are now saying the cancellation fee for orders is 30% - even for orders that were paid for before there were any T's and C's). At the end of September they informed me that my refund had been processed, but they were unable to send a Proof Of Payment. They could only send me dodgy screenshots of their online banking portal, but were unable to send a Proof Of Payment. I quickly realized this was because they hadn't actually paid my refund and were lying to me each time. I then tried to follow up with them everyday, and eventually a week later they told me my refund hadn't been processed due to a 'Smart Block' on their FNB banking account. FNB had apparently blocked their account as they had been reported as a fraud, although Tagoc was telling customers on social media the reason for the Smart Block was due to the fact that they have to make payments in Bitcoin (which again, was a lie). I then had to keep following up with Tagoc every single day through October. Everyday was the same excuse "waiting for the bank manager to sort this out". At the end of October they then had a different excuse for their bank account - now their bank account had apparently been frozen again due to complaints directly to the bank from other customers. Tameez Abramjee (the Tagoc "CEO") forwarded me his email to his bank manager, as well as invoices from other customers of his (I have no idea why he sent those to me, as they contained all of the other customer's personal details and had nothing to do with my purchase). I was then told my refund payment would be paid as soon as their bank account was unfrozen. At this point I was phoning Tagoc every single day, about 10 times a day to follow up. They wouldn't answer most calls, so I'd have to switch my phone's Caller ID off to get them to answer. Each time when I managed to get through to them it was always the same "we're doing your refund for you right now" excuse. At one point while their account was frozen I was told they would process my refund from a different bank account, but that didn't happen. At one point I was told they would process my refund by Bitcoin, so I sent them my Bitcoin payment details but again that didn't happen. At one point Tameez Abramjee told me he swears on his mother's life that my refund had been processed. Again this was a lie. By November I was phoning Tameez's cellphone constantly to try resolve this. I must have phoned their company over 200 times throughout this whole time, they never phoned me back once. Tameez was still giving me the same excuse "we're doing your refund right now" but it was a lie every time. Tameez then tried to spin it around and told me he'll "give me the benefit of the doubt" and pay my refund. I was very confused by what "doubt" he was referring to as they had originally told me they would refund me 2 months earlier. At one point he then admitted that he hadn't yet refunded me, and said it was because of the attitude that I was giving him on the phone. I told him obviously I wouldn't have needed to follow up with him everyday or give him any attitude if he had just been honest with me from the start, and withholding my refund payment for that reason alone is disgusting. At one point he had the cheek to tell me that I should book myself in for a massage to relax once he's eventually refunded me. EVENTUALLY, after threatening to report his bank account as fraud to FNB, in the 2nd week of November he eventually paid my refund. I have heard horror stories from other customers who were in the same position as me and are still waiting for their refunds, and others who didn't request refunds are still waiting for their orders that were supposed to ship in November. Some customers who have actually managed to receive their orders have confirmed that the units they received were 2nd hand. Tagoc most probably lied about importing stock from overseas, and instead just bought cheap 2nd hand units locally and resold them as "new". A few other customers that I contacted have already opened up criminal cases against Tameez. In the meantime Tameez has bought himself a fancy Porsche which I'd guess was bought with money he duped off other customers/victims. Some customers have gone to his house personally to collect their stock, waited there for hours and left empty handed. In conclusion, I'm still not sure if Tagoc is a scam operation or just a terribly run business with a "CEO" who doesn't care about his customers at all - he only cares about lining his own pockets. Tameez is a complete scumbag and his attitude towards customers is absolutely disgusting. They also delete/hide all negative comments on their Facebook page, and only keep the few positive comments from people who are clearly friends of Tameez and not actually customers of Tagoc. They recently held a competition on their Facebook page for a Blockchain Cruise in Asia, and as expected no winner was announced (or more likely the CEO won his own competition?). This company will never get another cent out of me. If you're reading this - stay very far away from Tagoc and Tameez Abramjee.
