My sister and I entered Pick n Pay at Jubliee Mall around 13h00 today from Dischem. The security lady told us to put our things at the parcel counter and I had refused because we were only there to buy doughnuts. The store manager was quite unprofessional and patronising when he was trying to address the issue between the security lady and I. He said that apparently Pick n Pay always implements policies at any time and that goods from other stores were not allowed in. When I asked when this new policy was implemented, he then proceeded to answer a personal phone call and left me and my sister standing there. That is when I decided to leave the store. Told him that I would be contacting head office about this, he told me to go ahead as they were used to people like me complaining. I'm quite displeased at how I was treated today because I'd like to believe that I am a loyal Pick n Pay customer. I just don't understand how such a big big brand would hold different standards according to different geographical areas. I've always shopped at Pick n Pay Hyper Norwood while having goods from other stores without any hassle until today's incident at Jubilee Mall.
I am so appauled by the treatment I received at one of the Pep store branch at the Jubilee mall yesterday. I arrived there with my sister and her friend at the store around 17:51, only to find their doors closed. The unfriendly staff member only came to attend to us after a third or fourth knock. Then she was so rude in telling me that the shop was closed and when I asked her why they were closed at that time when there's a sign saying that the shop closes at 6, she remained rude in her response. I told her that I just wanted to pay my account, she dismissed me by saying that they were offline. I started taking pictures when a man approached the store only to have the door closed in his face. When I was taking the second picture, the rude staff member let the man in. As a regular customer of Pep, I am dismayed for the lack of customer service that was given to us. I just wonder if the level of service have just dwindled to nothing and that your customers mean absolutely nothing to you (as a store/company as aa whole)
