Utterly disappointed in the Greenstone branch! I've never shopped at other branches so will give them the benefit of the doubt. But I can't believe how badly Builders Warehouse Greenstone has handled my problem. I ordered a gas cylinder online in JUNE (pay attention to the specified month). I don't know anything about gas cylinders, but saw that my current one has 9kg written on it, so I ordered a 9kg new one. The website advertises a refund if they can take your empty bottle, so I opted for this. Thought it was very kind of them to make this trade. So the company delivers my cylinder, install it for me, and take the empty one At this point I'm so impressed and satisfied with the service. Everything seemed to go smoothly. But then I wait for the refund to reflect in my account and it just doesn't happen. The head office phoned me a few days later to ask if I'm satisfied with the service, and I asked them how long the refund usually takes. Apparently it takes a few days so I give it time, very patiently. A month or so later I phone Builder's to ask if they can give me an update on that refund, but there's only a number for customer service so they tell me they'll solve the issue for me. I had to call a third time, just to be patched through to this specific branch, where it turns out nobody is actually on the call. So I get NO help. Now it's September, I have no refund and no information. So I have to travel to Builder's at my own expense because apparently nobody can help me over the phone. The manager then explained to me that I can only get the refund if my empty cylinder is the same brand as the one they gave me. Therefore, I can't get any sort of refund. Which NOBODY has told me before. Would I have still bought their cylinder if I knew this? Of course not. If somebody had just told me. Like the moment they INSTALLED this cylinder in my house. Then the manager tells me that I can have my old, empty cylinder back. Which I assume he meant as a good deal for me...? Who wants 2 cylinders (one of which is empty and useless) standing around, and NO REFUND? I told him that I didn't come with a car, so I would like it to be deliv back to my house. So I am told that that can definitely be organized, and he will personally ensure that this gets solved as soon as possible. I've been waiting more than a week and I still don't have the empty cylinder, nor have I received a call with any further information on the matter.
We found a shard of glass in our bottle of mayonnaise. Someone could very literally have died, if I didn't see it when I did.
