Active since Jul 2018
Ignored since placing and paying for my order early August. Brad and team ignore whatsapps, e-mails and phone calls for updates. The webiste offers 30 day refund and ignores requests sent in writing to action such refunds. This business is committing fraud and doesn't deserve to be supported
Excellent and friendly service, competitive prices, quality dent and paint work for all makes and colour vehicles! I will be a returning client for years to come.
Rent a Cheapie car hire in Cape Town, located near Woodstock area April 2018 I was taken advantage of while flying down to the bright beautiful city for a long weekend family visit (Female, aged 26) Please ensure you photograph the vehicle in good lighting before and after returning. The business has inconsistent procedures; on drop off inspection specifically make sure you are present. Check for damages other than what the leasing agents offer to show you and physically mark off on the pick up inspection document. Any damage conveniently not marked on pick up inspection WILL be overcharged and deducted from your deposit. The repair charge will be based on the business pricelist only, no other market related or supplier comparisons will be considered/offered. The leasing agent that inspected my hired Hyundai i10 upon its return told me to wait at reception until he/she came back to me. The shop was busy with returns, so I waited patiently with my younger sister by my side. When he/she came up to me with a hardened look on their face (which I wasn't used to, as this same agent had been extremely friendly ever since I picked up the vehicle), he/she had already completed the drop off inspection without me and their first words were to ask me to follow him/her so they could show me the damages found. When I viewed the 'damages' the agent initially offered to not charge me for a dent they noticed if I paid for the second light scratch they claimed was new, 'it was made today'. I was told with absolute cer*****y. My doubts and disbelief began to rise so I told the agent that the car had been securely parked and not seen near other vehicles the entire long weekend. When I asked for a second opinion by another co worker of theirs, the agent started talking over my conversation with the mechanic from their workshop and insisting I pay for both damages and then told me I should have taken the all inclusive once off insurance they provide despite that the basic damages cover I had paid for with Rent a cheapie on pick up covered the minor damages claimed to have been new. I own a Hyundai i10 and have had it touched up in the last year. I know it shouldn't cost R2-3k to repair a light scratch and small dent. The owner contacted me on a Sunday after my return flight to my province to offer me a very small discount in response to a long e-mail and phone call about my concerning experience and proof that the one damage claim was right on the spot that was marked as existing damage on the pick up inspection document. Bottom line, the car I hired had over 40 damages marked on the pick up inspection sheet. Rent a cheapie charges customers for repairs 'existing' and 'new' repeatedly but they do not carry out repair of those same damages, they make money off the claimed damages again and again. Fool me once, shame on you. Please heed my advice and save yourself from the annoyance.
