Please stay away from this company. They masquerade as a legitimate online shopping company...but once you make payment on your goods all communication ceases and your money is gone. I payed for a Solid State Drive almost four months ago and to date have not received my goods. They remain mute...no response to emails and what's apps. I have since reported them to the The Consumer Goods and Services Ombud at www.cgso.org.za in an attempt to try and get back my money. My case is still ongoing. It is clear that many have been scammed by this company already, so I hope that something is done to bring them to book. Surely there must be some tractability. They cannot be allowed to get away with stealing from people.
I tried to book a flight online but due to technical difficulties the booking did not go through. This was confirmed by a message on the site stating that the booking had been unsuccessful and that I should try again. I went about booking a ticket...successfully this time. To my surprise I noticed that I had been charged for BOTH bookings but had only received electronic confirmation for one. I notified Mango Airlines and upon perusal of their system they acknowledged there had been an error and committed to reversing the transaction. One month and 6 phone calls later I have still not received my refund. I have been given all sorts of excuses...the best being that the query is sitting with their Finance department and that the transfer would take 14 days to clear. It has been far longer than that. So today, besieged by the unquantifiable frustration I feel when calling up their call centre... I snapped...and demanded DEFINITIVE feedback from someone. When I demanded to speak to a supervisor the consultant asked if she could check with her Accounts Department one more time. Being that she was very polite, and that my axe was not with her to grind...I obliged. She returned after some minutes and said that the payment had been processed for today . I am not sure if the matter was given urgency because I was so irate...but the consultant gave me her personal WORD that the reversal would be done today...a full month later. It's crazy how much effort and money one has to exhaust with these organizations to get back something that rightfully belongs to you. Perhaps it is their strategy to purposefully frustrate people, hoping they simply give up in the end. I'm starting to wonder if the price of the ticket was even worth all the duress of having to deal with these incompetents in the first place.
