I purchased a Service Plan from LiquidCapital, branded under “Renault Financial Services,” which covered my vehicle at 90,000 km, 105,000 km, and 120,000 km. During the sales call (which is recorded), I informed the agent that the car was being driven a lot and would quickly reach 90,000 km. I also paid an activation fee and asked directly: “If my car reaches 90,000 km, can I take it in for service at Renault?” The answer was a clear: “Yes.” No terms or conditions were explained in response to this question, and I proceeded with the plan based on that assurance. When my car hit 90,000 km, I booked it in at 7am at a Renault-approved dealer. However, the service was not authorised, and I was told the plan only activates after four monthly payments a clause that was not clearly explained at the time of sale and was inconsistent with the verbal assurance I received. Attempts to resolve the matter included: • Multiple calls to customer service • Repeated requests for escalation to a manager, which were unsuccessful • An offer to pay the outstanding amount upfront, which was declined At the time of writing, my vehicle remains unscheduled for service, and I’ve had no direct resolution.
This is a formal complaint against LiquidCapital for misrepresentation, failure to deliver services promised, and refusal to escalate a valid customer issue. I purchased a Service Plan for my Renault that was meant to cover 90,000 km, 105,000 km, and 120,000 km. During the sales call — which LiquidCapital claims to record for “quality assurance” I clearly told the agent that my vehicle is driven a lot meaning I would reach 90,000 km quickly. I asked directly: “If I reach 90,000 km, can I take it in for service at Renault?” The agent clearly and confidently said: “Yes.” So, I went ahead, signed up, and paid a once-off activation fee. Now that I’ve reached 90,000 km , surprise LiquidCapital refuses to authorise the service, citing a clause that says I must make four monthly payments before being eligible. That clause was never clearly explained, and worse: the agent directly contradicted it. My car was booked in at 7:00am, has been left idle at the dealership all day till 5pm, and all I’ve received from LiquidCapital is: • Denials, • Excuses, • And a complete refusal to escalate. Despite multiple calls, I was never contacted by a manager or senior representative. My service is still not approved. My time, money, and trust have been wasted. This isn’t customer service it’s exploitation. To anyone reading this: Avoid LiquidCapital at all costs. Their promises mean nothing. Their support means less.
