Refusal of a rent deposit of R 5000

I move in at one of their buildings called Ferreira House at unit 107,in August 2017 and paid a deposit of R5000. My lease expired on the 31st of August 2018 and I had notified the building manager Lee Naidoo that I will not be renewing my lease and I sent him the necessary documents. Which he then failed to process for the whole of September so I had to deal with a lady from head office by the name of Constance De Sousa who then told me that in order to receive my deposit I have to pay R780 as my account was in ereas and I did. She gave me the run around for the whole of October and only told me at the end of October that another company has taken over the building, after I had threatened to open a case with the Rental Housing Tribunal. And now the new property managers say they can't find me on their deposit schedule
