I engaged this company on 11 March 2019 to apply to City Power to swop from account to pre-paid electricity. This is usually a simple task, takes 4 to 6 weeks and its done. Not with Council Couriers. They actually paid my money into someone else's account with City Power, then proceeded to give excuse upon excuse as to what the delays were, ranging from "we are escalating it" to all sorts of ludicrous statements about striking workers, overworked staff at City Power you name it. I had to investigate myself to discover what they had done. It was a 7 month battle to get this company to man up and sort out the mess they had created. Use them at your own risk, their delaying tactics cost me about R3200 in uneccessary fees paid to city power.
I engaged Afox Construction to build a boundary wall and add a double garage to my residence, Riaan van der Wath early in 2017, he made promises that he would draw the plans, have them passed and have the building inspected at the appropriate times. None of this happened. The work dragged out, with large numbers of days where no-one was on site. The quality of work was atrocious, the walls have cracked in 3 places both inside and outside the garage, the cement floor was not properly floated so its cracking alp over, but the worst was he created a weak spot in the roofing, the brandering that the tiles rest on and the purloins at the edges of the roof back and front - all the joins were in a line in mid-air between 2 rafters. No building plans drawn or passed, no building inspector called to inspect. When you hear the name Riaan van der Wath...run away do not engage in business with him.
