Yesterday another unauthorized payment went off my account. No sms, no phone call, nothing. I logged into my banking app and saw that a payment had gone off my account. The reference number was "Journal Debit". I tried phoning the bank yesterday and had no luck resolving anything. Last year they did the same thing to me at which they said I was in arears of one month's payment on my personal loan and they just deducted an amount. I explained that I had a loss of income and then I arranged a payment plan with them. Absa did not deduct the money as arranged which still showed that I was in arrears. In January I found a new job and every debit order was successful. A lady even called me in Feb and explained that all was well. Now yesterday they deducted their own amount from my account, leaving me with R300 left. I only get paid next and I have a 7 year old son. Is this even legal?? I don't have any other financial support and I still have 6 days until pay day. This bank has caused me nothing but stress. On Wednesday I opened up a ***** case because someone was able to clone my card details and now this. STAY FAR AWAY FROM ABSA!! I am going to seek legal advice regarding this matter, there is a child involved for goodness sakes!!
I swiped my card and when I received my SMS, I noticed that I had A LOT less money in my account. I logged into my banking app and saw that an unauthorised debit order had gone off. The reference was JOURNAL RCCS BOS J. I called the fraud department and a gentleman answered. As soon as I mentioned the reference number, the call dropped. I called again and the lady who assisted me said that it was ABSA's collections department and that she could not assist me in this matter. I then asked her what would the collections be for. She then said "Mam, like I said, I can't assist you. You will have to contact them tomorrow." I need to use my card, which I now cannot because I have to wait until tomorrow. Is this even legal to just take money out of my account without my authorisation?? Why didn't I receive a notification as soon as the payment went off? This is the fourth issue I've had with ABSA this year and I am just sick of it. If you are choosing a bank, please don't consider this bank, unless you enjoy losing money, pathetic service and sleepless nights. I am switching banks tomorrow.
I ordered a 3 month supply from Breast Actives on 20 November 2018 on their website. They took the money from my account immediately and said that I would receive a confirmation email soon. Today is the 16th of December and still no email, no tracking number. Everytime I call, there is no answer and no one responds to my emails. R1700 gone just like that. This was my first time purchasing from them, I don't recommend buying from them at all! Im so upset about this, and now im upset and still have small ****s. Sml.
