Ordered over the phone. On Arrival received my order. Opened the food box at home, Sashimi of R 110,00 missing. This happend now 2nd time. Called the Shop, Manager wanted to investigate and call me back.... Nothing.. He is still too busy...What a disappointment...Got pictures of food box. Sorry, you just lost another client....
Poor Workmanship and dishonest. Never ever again...
The house is in Sandbaai, right next to the Township Zwelihle. Protest actions happened and roads have been blocked etc. From Sandbaai Beach you see the land grabbing and the first new build squatters on the hill... Very sad for the Sandbaai house owners right next to them... Sandbaai beach is ok, but the rubbish from the Township floats around. We have been advised by the locals not to go to the beach after sunset or early in the morning, Not even with the dogs... The pictures on the website looking better than in reality! The house sleeps 6 people. But we only found 2 old rusty cooking pots for all of us. There is no Dishwasher, we were not allowed to use the washing machine for our whole stay , no coffee machine, old cutlery etc. Just a broken old broom and an old bucket . Outside you sit on old plastic chairs, no table outside, no table cloth... no pool, just a big piece of garden with 1 tree.. That is all. Not even washing pegs on the line... We had problems at the house right from beginning. The waste water under the kitchen sink floats into the cupboard, we put a bucket underneath not to make things more worse. The cupboards are already rotten. Outside is a leak at the waste water drain and waste water from the toilets and bath floating right into the garden. We tried to report to the owner, but were unable to reach her and seemed not to be interested. After 1 week she just left a voicemail on our phone, that all previous guests have been satisfied in her house and never had a complaint. We had to wait over 2 month to get back our Deposit of R 2300,00. On request, we have been told that they need to see the water charges from the Municipality account first. They did not even give us a chance to read the water usage ourselves on arrival or at check out.... Sorry, this was the first and the last time at Barking Beach Cottage and good luck with your business ...
