This was the first time we tried this restaurant, we've been waiting for a while to go there. The service was not too bad, the waiter polite, atmosphere was good... The food for me was not up to scratch. I had sushi for starters which was ok, the kitchen messed up my first order which I sent back for it to be redone. For mains I ordered the Chicken Trinchado, the sauce and toasted panini it came with was delicious, however the actual chicken was bland, unseasoned and more like boiled compared to the menu saying it was pan fried. The chicken was not cooked fully and also had an off tatse to it, it tasted like the smell of raw chicken breasts. When I asked the waiter if I could speak to the manager about it, a very arrogant lady approached me telling me that this is how they make the chicken and that there was nothing she could do about it. Between herself and the Chef, they supposedly tasted the chicken and accepted this as their standard - not even an apology to have my meal redone or offer me an alternative so that I could actually eat what I paid for. The service from that manager was disgusting, and I walked out of a restaurant still hungry, where I paid for food which was inedible. Cherry on the top? The manager offered me the remainder of my food as a take away and said "if I don't want it, the car guard would be more than happy to take it". Needless to say I left the food which I paid for in full at that same restaurant. Never going back to such disgusting service, especially a place where customer service does not exist. I have never had such an awful experience at a restaurant before and I have never left my food behind, even my left overs.
The thought of sophisticated drinks after a tedious day of work makes you look forward to an evening of relaxation with your partner... Unfortunately to my demise, the stress free planned evening turned into a nightmare when my partner and I waited 20minutes just to receive menu's, and a total of 45minutes just to get our drinks order taken... Bearing in mind this is the V&A waterfront, you would expect immaculate service given that it is a quiet period. The welcome greetings were brilliant and we were told to take whichever seats we liked, being reserved in nature my partner and I took corner seats on the deck that overlooked the harbour. Whilst waiting for our waiter to come we watched as other customers (who arrived after us) were served efficiently with menus just as they were seated and drink orders were taken within seconds. This is highly disappointing as we chose harbour house for a reason - thinking we would get great service unlike our alternate choice restaurants. This was not the case. It took an hour from the time we were seated for our two Mojitos to arrive. After this dilemma for two drinks I told my partner that we'd rather get the bill and eat at a smaller restaurant that offered great service. Unfortunately one would not expect such neglect from such an extravagant brand. Highly disappointing. Terrible service.
