Active since May 2019
This company also goes by the name of Livita Pty Ltd. This is a huge scam. After selecting a product, they emailed me an invoice. After paying the invoice, they never communicated with me further again. Dropping my calls when I call and not responding to my emails. Please do not buy from this company.
I purchased my MINI on the 26 April 2018 from Auto Bavaria Midrand. After much delays, I only received my MINI on the 18 May 2019. I waited almost 3 weeks to receive my MINI, after the sales agent promised I would receive my MINI after one week and then again after two weeks. My issues I had with dealership are as follows: 1. I always had to contact the sales person at Auto Bavaria Midrand with regards to the whereabouts of the vehicle that I purchased. Sometimes the sales person did not even respond to my emails. This is an indication of poor service because I'm the buyer and the sales person has to keep me up to date with the deal. 2. When I first spoke to the sales person, I told him that it was my first time buying a car and a car with finance so I did not understand what to do or how to go about doing things. I feel as if the sales person was not welcoming as it was my first time buying a car. He was pushy and did not explain things properly to me. It also seemed as if he was getting irritated and upset with me during the deal which made me not feel comfortable asking him questions. 3. The whole time I was waiting for the MINI to arrive, I had to rent a car. The delay in receiving my mini was costing me extra money which I would have preferred not spending. I am from Cape Town and work in a hospital in Mthatha. I did not have a different option but renting a car because I live alone in Mthatha. 4. On Monday the 13 May I phoned Auto Bavaria and spoke to the manager where I explained to him that I am waiting for my car and I did not know where the car was and if it was sent with the courier truck already. The manager apologised for the delay and said he would get back to me. The sales person then emailed me and said that the car was loaded on the courier truck and will arrive in East London on Friday 17 May. Thereafter, he will make arrangements for me to collect the car on Saturday 18 May. This did not happen, the courier truck only arrived in East London on Saturday 18 May. I however, do know, that you can track anything you send with the courier even a car, because I am familiar with sending cars with a courier truck. So this indicates to me that the sales person was not checking on the progress of my MINI as he never contacted me saying that the courier truck is delayed. He only found out that the truck was delayed when I went to the dealership in East London. 5. On Friday 17 May, I received a phone call from someone called Bongani which I think is involved with the finance side of my deal. Anyway, he had confirmed with me that I could fetch my MINI in East London the next day as arranged and that I should bring along my ID and drivers licence and speak to a woman called Jackie which they arranged the handover with. East London is a 3 hour drive from where I live in Mthatha. I drove from Mthatha to East London on Saturday morning to pick up my MINI. When I got to the dealership in East London they informed me that the courier truck only delivered my vehicle in the morning. The dealership was also not aware that I was taking the car on the Saturday. They thought that I am just signing the contract. There was no clear communication with the sales person at Auto Bavaria and the dealership in East London as they were confused and running around trying to fix the paperwork. The car did not have a temporary licence and the licence that was on the car was expired. The dealership in East London could not help me as their control officer does not work on a Saturday and she does temporary licences. So this means that I had to drive back to Mthatha without a licenced vehicle. 6. When the dealership in East London informed the sales person from Auto Bavaria that I was there waiting for the car and the car only came that morning and that there was no temporary licence. The sales person from Auto Bavaria did not seem concerned as I witnessed the telephonic conversation. They also asked the sales person to contact me which he did not do. He instead sent me an email requesting me to call him and asked "what arrangements can we make" . That is not my problem, he was supposed to contact me and sort this out, not me doing his job and sorting this out. 7.The vehicle was also very dirty when I received it. This is very disappointing because I chose a MINI brand and not just any brand. I expected everything to done properly. I expected to see a clean car for the first time. I expected MINI to put in effort as this is a brand of high calibre. I am utterly disappointed and disgusted with the level of service I received from Auto Bavaria Midrand. MINI is supposed to be a brand of high quality, yet I got such bad service. I would most likely not consider this dealership again if I should buy another car in the future. In fact, my partner wants to trade his car in and was considering a MINI from this dealership and I strongly advised him not to consider this dealership after the poor service I received. I hope this dealership improves their services in the future as I do not think that this dealership deserves to be "the best MINI dealer" as quoted by the sales person.
