Maternity ward: On the 15 July my pregnant sister went for a check to lenasia south as she was getting signs of going into labour. She was sent back home as they told her it was not her time, they however gave her 12 tablets to induce labour. On the 16 July she had much severe pains and we rushed her back to south hospital at 10;00pm, she was admitted. My sister had severe pains and was all alone in the ward,no one checked on her at all,my mum kept calling her after every hour and still nothing. At 3 in the morning my mum called her again and she was in worst pain, eventually she got off the bed herself and looked for a nurse. She called us at 5:20am on the 17 July and told us she gave birth to a healthy baby boy,We were so glad that the worst was over for her. Well it didn't end there she called us back at 6am in the morning and told us they rushing her to another hospital because her placenta is not coming out, My mum and brother inlaw rushed to the hospital only to find my sister there lying in blood with no blanket nothing fighting for her life.My sister almost lost her life,My mum went to the nurses pleading for help, the one nurse told my mum that if the ambulance dont get here in time my sister will die,What a statement to make to a mother, that is really heartless. They told my sister that it is her fault and that she is going to die.A very helpful coloured nurse went back into the ward and started praying for my sister and pressed the placenta out. She saved my sisters life and we will forever be grateful to her.My sister was then rushed to Bara for a blood transfusion. She is well now and growing up her 3 wonderful boys. Im writing this review as this should not happen to any other woman in any hospital. They say man abuse woman, but it is woman who abuse woman. What a sick world we living in, the vows nurses/doctors take means nothing anymore if this is how they treat they patience.
