Bad service
Very bad experience last Friday night at Verdicchio restaurant in Montecasino. Generally waitressing was poor having forgotten several orders and main courses arriving sporadically to the extent that some had finished theirs before others. The main complaint however that we ordered a prawn pasta (R265) and not exaggerating got the pasta (late) with a total of 4 shrimps not larger than 1 cm each !? Sent it back. Got call from owner / manager on Saturday morning acknowledging their mistake saying the chef said "wheels came off' in the kitchen on the Friday night and offered a R2000 voucher. Owner / manager has since said twice that she would be sending that through and appears she has decided to retract it. Nevetheless they will not be seeing us again and they must keep their voucher. Think the following morning call was solely for damage control and had no authenticity to it..... they have come across as a shady bunch to us. Poor show !

Eden Tech not the place to take mobile phone for repairs
On 3 August took my phone to Eden Tech Woodmead (they also apparently have a branch in Mall of Africa) to have screen replaced which was done. Screen was faulty so took it in again after which they replaced. However a couple of days after noticed my camera was not taking clear pictures and took it back to them. Checked quality of photos in camera roll immediately before and after them having the phone and the difference is very apparent. Took it back and they initially said they would replace it but changed their tune and said i would have to pay. In my opinion and i have no doubt whatsoever that they switched the camera. Very rude and dodgy business this in my view and would advise extreme caution with leaving your phone in this business hands. Usually use shop at Kyalami Corner which is good but they did not have a screen at the time and needed access urgently. Will be taking legal steps and laying a charge of theft against them.
