I see my previous review has been removed and I have missed the e-mail because it was disputed on a Friday. I am not going to retype. I wil just copypatse from this company's facebook review I did with a link as there are pictures on there as well. Worst contracting service we have received, ever. Pool 97% paid WITH advanced payment because owner was in "financial" predicament. Just, a month later, to sit with a complete mess that needs to be fully redone. To the people that think they received good service from these guys, I urge you to get another independent company to come check their work. If they cant even fix their own mistakes, how will guarantees be kept?? Owner is totally incompetent and blames all HIS mistakes on client and wants client to pay for HIS mistakes. Very quick with many promises until he received payments, then shortcuts, incompetencies and excuses started. Beginning of September 2020 we got Tuscan Rock Pools (Western Cape) to install a pool. Site visit went smooth and price was made clear on the Contract, so was payments. Contractor has indicated job will take around 8 days to complete. 70% of cost was paid on acceptance of quotation. 15% was paid when work started. The remaining 15% was to be paid on completion. On the second day of work, the problems started as Contractor informed us that unforeseen debits have gone off his account and he is now short of cash to finish the project. Against our own better judgement, we paid him a portion of the final payment to assist with this issue. After this payment was done, the lies and excuses started. Ranging from his bakkie breaking down numerous times, his child being in hospital because of accident at school, his cell phone being grabbed by the traffic light etc etc. Finally, a month after job started, the pool was quickly “finished”, and they disappeared before we got home only to send us a Termination Letter that evening that Contract is being terminated due to funds not paid by us. These funds being some hidden clause they think they can use as a loophole to get more money out of people. Claiming that the labour costs are separate from initial agreed and signed quotation when their own contracts clearly states otherwise. Leaving us with a pool that is 70mm out of level, which is now blamed on another contractor that did vibe extension next to the pool. This level was out and brought to their attention long before vibe contractor was on site to which their response was that the level will sort itself out as the water level rises. This obviously never happened. There is a layer of sand on the bottom of the pool probably 100mm thick due to sand heaps next to the pool and the wind blowing. We had a cover ready to be installed but due to numerous delays, the pool was and is still open now for well over a month after job started. Pool boundry wall is totally out of level as well as 40% of this wall had no foundation and started cracking 2 days after it was build. Electrical conduits running on ground level. And the list goes on… We now must get another contractor to finish their mess after they received 97% of payment. The ONLY thing that was NOT messed up was the hole they dug. Everything else must be redone and the Contractor still has the audacity, after receiving 97% of payment, to claim there are funds outstanding and that the contract is 90% complete. This job is now even further from complete than before they got on site. TUSCAN ROCK POOLS, please be careful!!!!
So not even 2 years after installation, our Geyser cracked (leaking out of the shell). Heat Tech came out and looked for a reason NOT to honor 5 year warranty claim. Extra stop **** was installed after Pressure Valve (also one before) so to still have cold water in case geyser broke as it did exactly. Now they do not want to honour the claim. Even their own employee said that the extra stop **** is NOT the cause of the crack, yet it allows them, as per their warranty clause, NOT TO PAY OUT or replace the shell. Not even 2 years and the shell cracked. Might I add that the shell was rated ****pa but the Pressure valve installed was only 400kpa for extra longevity, but it still cracked. Very poor quality. Please take note of this before purchasing a Heat Tech cheap Geyser. Rather go with reputable products, unless you are willing to waste money every year on a product that should last you many.
