Unpaid ...
It's been over 4 months and i haven't recieved my last payment, which was due in April. Whenever i would make enquiries, i would be told that everything is in order, and i will receive payment. Next thing i was being sent from pillars to post. This is so disappointing

One star is a alot to rate GEMS. From last year i have been having trouble when it comes to hospital bills. My husband was admitted for a scheduled operation. Gems only paid a certain portion of the bill and i had to settle the rest (still paying to date) because apperantly we were out funds, yet its a chronic comdition. My daughter was pregnant and again they didnt pay for some of her doctors visits (i am now being harrased by debt collectors, i dont understand how when we even registered for the pregnancy with GEMS). To top it off. I was recently admitted and THEY DID NOT PAY A THING!. They told me to apply for ex gracia - because of my past experience with "ex gracia" i didnt even bother to apply because the last time i applied (about 5 years ago, they did not bother to reply, even after i made numerous calls to check on my update, i was told that they would get back to me, till today. So what exactly are we paying our medical aids for when at the emd of the day we still need to cough out extra money from our own pockets
