I recently took delivery of a BMW X3 XDRIVE 20I M sport package in space grey .The service at first was good however after I had payment I was basically left unattended to ,I basically didn't exist .The salesman assured me there was no paint work done on the vehicle with an exception of the front bumper which had paint peeling out -he promised to respray the bumper .He also assured me that the vehicle was 100% mechanically sound .I made full payment of the vehicle sometime on the 16th of November based on a trust relationship and had to wait almost a month for the vehicle to be delivered to me owing to the fact that they were waiting for a side mirror panel to come from BMW .The salesman that I was dealing with promised me daily updates which never happened .Eventually on the 6th of December he had told me that the vehicle was officially on the truck even though he had it from the 2nd December . He promised me daily updates of the exact whereabouts of the vehicle .l had to ask him myself about updates and he claimed that the vehicle was still at the JHB depot .He then told me on Tuesday the 10th that the vehicle was on its way to Durban .Upon contacting the Durban dealership myself and communicating with +-4 different staff members they had confirmed with me that the vehicle had arrived on that Saturday the 7th .I wanted this vehicle for two special occasions which I had ask the salesman to make possible and it did not happen .I had asked him to make contact with the Durban branch regarding transferring my plates from my old vehicle to my vehicle only to find out that no contact was made to them yet he had told me that he had spoken to them .I had to make my own arrangements with the Durban branch at my own cost ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT COR WAS NOT DONE ON THE VEHICLE .The dealer principle of the Durban branch had confirmed with me that nobody had made contact with them regarding delivery until last Wednesday .Upon viewing on Thursday 12th December I was LIVID .The body of the vehicle was rough The vehicle had over spray throughout the entire body. There was excessive smoking coming from the vehicle .It had Michelin rubber mats which was cut to suit the spec of the vehicle .Interior downlight was broken .Front grill was broken Front left -side vendor had the rubber missing and it had a kink .The front bumper which had paint peeling off where he assured me would be resprayed was not done .The vehicle had deep scratches into the paint visible from a distance yet I was assured the vehicle had only light scratches that are visible only when close to the vehicle .All this was witnessed at the Durban branch and pictures together with detailed explanations was sent to the salesman via watsapp and email-Again ,I had received no response .So I took it for granted that all of this would have been sorted out given the fact that Imperial is a reputable National dealership, hence took delivery of the vehicle on Saturday .Upon taking delivery I had done less than 25kms to find that the vehicle was leaking oil, excessively .Again I took pictures of this and sent to the salesman I DID NOT EVEN SIGN AN OTP UPTILL NOW I contacted the dealer principle -assured me all my problems would be rectified as per my liking claimed she would sort the issue out first thing Tuesday morning .Received a call from her at 3:30 on Tuesday afternoon stating that I had to return the vehicle without even offering to rectify the problem . The JhB salesman had assured me that all arrangements were made with Durban to take the vehicle back .Upon sending my nephew and kids to the dealership they said they cannot take the vehicle -no one from JHB had told them anything .I contacted her and she said that they had to wait 20 mins for feedback .It was an hour later and still no response .They had to wait in the cold in a dangerous busy intersection during peek hours .The dealer principle wasn't taking my call .The salesman was not responding to my messages .Eventually someone contacted the DBN BRANCH after the long wait. Most pathetic service ever
