Heartbroken and deeply disappointed We brought our healthy, happy puppy to Fourways Vet with the trust that they would care for her as we would. Tragically, that trust was misplaced. Not only did we lose our beloved puppy while she was in their care, but the experience left us feeling shattered and dismissed. What hurt even more was the clear lack of compassion we were shown during an incredibly traumatic moment. Instead of receiving empathy and answers, we were met with what felt like indifference—and an unsettling focus on payment over care. I am still trying to understand how our perfectly fine puppy could deteriorate so quickly, and why more urgency and attention wasn’t given to her wellbeing. Today, my family and I are left with grief, questions, and the heavy weight of knowing our little one didn’t get the gentle care she deserved. This is not something we can ever forget.
