After a year of unprofessional dealings with the owners of said business, with staff that have no clue as to the difference between a plant and a ****, I am at my wits end. I would never recommend their services to anyone.
From paying a premium of about R2K to be advised that the premium is now over R5K - what a shock! Then to ask for a consultant to contact me and starting at number 90 something and then get to number 2 in the queue and then to have to start all over -What a crock! What a joke Discovery - can this get any more unprofessional? I think not! I am now holding on for a 'consultant' to call me - and counting - What skulduggery is this?
Fourteen tellers, of which four ONLY are servicing the customers at month end - queues down the isles - past the centre isle and nearly to the back wall of the store! This is a regular occurrence at Vaal Mall. When complaining to the one manager, if looks could kill and the attitude of someone who absorbs belligerence for breakfast, but no help whatsoever. Clearly management have no cooking clue of how to provide assistance to shoppers frequenting the store. Why no extra tellers over the busy periods? Do P n P Vaal Mall have a financial problem that they are not able to provide tellers despite the exorbitant pricing of their products - prices that go up on an almost daily basis - which is done at their whim! Really - this has been the case for months and months, and despite pointing it out on an almost monthly basis, nothing is being done to sort the issue out!
Twice now I have had a calls terminated by Discovery personnel. Once by Bukekwa and once by Poliswa - when providing information. I called to enquire about a request for authorisation that was submitted 05.04.2022 07:30 and to which I have not even had the courtesy of a response, although I did receive an automated response of acknowledgement. Has Discovery become so large it treats its clients with the disdain of a government entity? What is happening that it refuses to take calls from paying members? This is a shocking state of affairs!
Why does one have to beg for an answer to a query from Discovery - two emails, not even an acknowledgement - let alone the courtesy of a response from the powers that be! Why is it that the only way I can communicate with a staff member relating to an issue is to complain on an open forum? Discovery is displaying quasi government communication skills - nothing or very little! But, take money - that is not problem! Discovery needs to look at itself - currently it is not in a very favourable or agreeable light in my eyes!
Rancid mouldy smelly cheese Ladismith Brand purchased from Checkers Hyper Vanderbijlpark with sell by date 26.08.2021. Ladismith Cheese contacted - no response, Checkers Hyper contacted - pictures sent three times and no action taken. Will no longer purchase Ladismith Cheese nor frequent Checkers Hyper! What a waste of money and shocking service!
What is the point in registering on the website, only to be informed that I have not in fact done so! Your website is worse than pathetic! I have registered twice and none of the information is there! Get a new system - dump this one!
Using the website to get information or is like walking through either quicksand or treacle - it is awful!
A week or two or three ago, I bought a tray of Pick 'n Pay eggs. Well, at least half of the tray is off. I have ruined two cakes, and other items that required eggs, but the cherry on top of the so called cake was when I boiled eggs for breakfast and one rotten egg exploded. Oh my goodness - how revolting. Is there not quality control - there was no problem with the sell by date when I bought the tray! I find this quite off putting and disgusting. Clearly there is no recourse as I never kept the packaging nor my till slip. A warning to all out there - stay away from the eggs that are sold at Pick 'n Pay!
How is it possible to never get through to Discovery. I hold on, and hold on, and hold on and no one answers - despite following the prompts! I had a query eighteen months ago, I wrote a scathing report, and guess what - still no answer to that either - as they sidelined those benefits too! I just want to speak to a person, not an answering machine - why is this not possible. Clearly Discovery are happy to take money - but service is perhaps something else!
