Bought an engine from them in December 2021. I paid through EFT because I was desperately looking for an engine. I paid twice for the courier because the guy lied saying he paid for the courier of which the Bigfoot company denied. They have not delivered the engine to me yet. I paid them R 56000. Now the guy insist that I must come and collect the engine and bring the old one. He claims I want to rob him and I am a liar even though he has my money and he has not delivered the engine.
I had an incident where water went through the engine of my BMW F30 2013 model during the rain and the road was flooding. I lodged a claim in December 2019. The assessor write-off the car with a reason of the car being uneconomical to repair. They then appointed a company called Waidler to do a diagnostic. After some weeks I was told the car got damaged due to insufficient oil. The car was serviced in August 2019. It didn't even reflect a warning that there was insufficient oil. BMW South Africa did their own diagnosis and ruled out that oil low doesn't result in engine damage. In a nut shell, the car was damaged by water ingress but unfortunately the short term insurance ombudsman ruled in their favor twice. So watch out for the chili low price insurance, you might regret it later. They just want your money but in rainy days you are alone.
