Hi I’m Rebecca Luphuzi, I went to Modderfontein Reserve with my boyfriend and baby brother for hiking. It was our very first experience and it went from bad to WORSE. Firstly we were never told that the place had restricted placed,we nearly trespassed at a place where they were apparently explosives. Secondly we got stung by bees on our back from hiking because apparently the gravel road was being maintained and they accidentally hit a bee hive which attacked us badly but luckily we never reacted to it but were swollen where we got stung. As we were running seeking for help,my boyfriend accidentally dropped his phone where the bee hive was and he rushed to get his car to fetch his cellphone before it got stolen. On his way there,he got stuck in the mud and I called management and told him my problem. I was transferred to a Reserve management called Mr Venter and he laughed because we got attacked by bees and his response was “What do you actually want me to help you with?” As worried I was because I don’t know how my boyfriend could react to bee stings and the fact that he was stuck in a car that he couldn’t open the windows because it was exactly where the bee hive was..it took the reserve stuff three to Four hours to finally assist us. I’m very disappointed with their sense of Emergency because we all react differently to bee stings, and worst would’ve happened because my boyfriend could be allergic to the bees and was stuck in a very hot car,yet Mr Venter laughed at my situation. Please Help me!
