AA shame on you with your app STILL " under maintenance " after weeks. What happens if one has an emergency and the app doesn't work nor are the given phone numbers valid? As a member of many years standing I have always seen the AA as totally reliable. Now what!!
Relatively new I think. Food very tasty with flavours that are what they claim. Service excellent and if you enjoy people watching this is ideal.
Oh dear Umhlanga. Poor most things last weekend from very tatty menus to indifferent service. Three different pasta dishes ordered but sauces well below standard with noticeable shortage of prawns and even ham in the Alfredo, which had long been a favourite. May try Gateway to see if the advertised new dishes are better than the old!
Prawns to die for 😁 best for a very long time. Large and tasty
Oh dear oh dear. Friday lunch time with not a lot of customers but service that was dire. The wrong order, a toasted sandwich, took an age to arrive and was virtually inedible. At least we weren't charged for it whilst the manager seemed more intent on seeing that it didn't happen again than placating the customer! Despite the wind I expected the old serviettes and straws to be cleared from the floor. On the positive side the order for crispy calamari heads was delicious. Circus you can do better than this.
Sam has created a wonderful range of Specials. Follow Surfriders on Facebook where you will see some of her new creations. The photos are great but not as tasty as the mussels that I have just had for lunch. Treat yourselves.
Lupa Westville tops again. Even at lunchtime there is a happy buzz in a busy restaurant. We know our favourite dishes and are never let down. Service friendly and excellent.
We recently decided to visit the much touted new Oceans Mall in Umhlanga. What a disappointment. From the deep dive into the unsigned parking where we managed to spot a Checkers logo and followed it up several floors to reach an entrance, Then seemingly more unlet spaces than retailers. Checkers a glowing highlight, well displayed, stocked and with proactive staff. Eventually found Woolies food which was very below their usual standards. If there were many other retailers and the normal outlets that one has come to expect in malls there was no signage to show where they were nor how to reach them. Nor any accessible information signage or service. On the plus side the whole was clinically clean, which given the lack of traffic is no surprise. No welcoming nor wholesome vibe.
The latest branch in Umhlanga has a great atmosphere and will become a regular for us. However finding it is a problem as there is NO external signage. Why not highlight that it is next to Pam Golding which is well known and easy to see from the street.
Sunday lunchtime - very busy with great atmosphere. Food totally delicious even 'ordinary' pasta. Melanzane had my wife rolling her eyes with pleasure.
