Woolworths stores have been my go-to option for as long as I can remember. Whenever I needed to buy good quality food options, clothing items or homeware, I always knew that Woolworths will not disappoint. My friends over the years have become accustomed to my Woolworths gift vouchers and have often reciprocated in the same way. And our standing motto for choosing ‘anything Woolworths’ has always been: you get what you pay for! In addition to the good quality products, they also have a very solid customer service offer and we have never experienced issues, until recently. Now I know that their words are empty promises. It is beginning to feel as if their profit margins have now taken centre stage and the customer is not their main concern. They are serving the needs of profit-hungry Boards of Directors and shareholders. I have tried to communicate with ‘someone’ for close to five months now, via emails and phone calls. Yes, I know I should probably have gone to the store directly, but chose to use their dedicated customer support line. Why would there be complaints email addresses or customer care lines if it is not working? I was promised that this issue will be raised with management and they will get back to me. I was also told that they are within their right to not offer a refund. And although I had their faulty product fixed at my own expense, one would have thought that they will refund the expense, tiny as it was, compared to their bottom line... So here I am, waiting for that ‘someone’ to live up to the Woolworths promise and get back to me with an explanation or an answer or a thank you. I am indeed very disappointed as I have always relied on Woolworths to make good on their promises, keep their customers informed, happy and trusting. Well, they have completely lost my trust after this incident. Elisha Accounting tutorials are frauds! They promise help with UNISA exams. I ended up paying them. They claim they never receive your money, send you no material and then block you on whatsapp when you ask. Stay away!
