I booked a business trip with accomodation at Anfani Hotel, I booked through booking.com. They gave me an option to pay at the property, pay immediately or pay on the 14th Dec. I selected to pay at the property. They then proceeded to ask for card details with a clear statement that said my card won’t be debited they just need the card information for booking gaurentee, I then proceeded to give these details, upon confirming my booking, my account was immediately debited on my personal card for a business trip, again they only need the card details for gaurentee therefor I entered my personal card as they clearly stated it wont be deducted. I brought this under the attention of bought booking.com and Anfani Hotel, they both blame shifted and the one,said the other is at fault. I have called the hotel explaining the situation they promised to sort everything out asap and make the process as smooth as possible , it has been almost two weeks and I am still waiting, they asked me to mail them and phone them which i did but i get absolutey no response or any feedback whatsoever, they only respond when i call but no respond on mail which they gave me and when i do call its the POP will be sent shortly its a week later and i’m still waiting for the POP , the Hotel said that the payment will show either on monday or tuesday giving indication that the payment was done on Monday, friday i phoned them and told them no bank nor any system takes 5days for money to clear, it is 7days later and no one is giving me feedback even after my mail earlier this morning. If this is the service you receive just upon booking i dont want to know what the service is when you are booked in
