About a year ago I had filled in a form for an upgrade. It was a home internet deal for one of my unused sim cards, however when I filled in the form the number I asked for on the form to be upgraded to this contract had not been upgraded and instead Vodacom decided to upgrade my personal number to this home internet deal. The sim registered to my phone and could not be used in any other device anymore except my phone. I got a new phone which it cannot be used in now as well I am not able to make any calls anymore and I can only receive calls. I asked Vodacom's online helo centre's and I went into a few stores. None of them could correct this and could give me any advice on what I should do to correct this. So now I'm stuck with this mistake that Vodacom made and the only person that's affected negatively by this is me, Vodacom's client. I am absolutely disgusted with the service of this company and I cannot believe that they aren't able to connect me to someone that can help me with this mistake that Vodacom made.
So-called investment site, father put money in. Person called him to help him increase it by investing into the right places and as soon as the day came where withdrawals were supposed to be made the person disappeared. Don't listen to them and don't trust them at all.
My father got scammed by Sierra Financials, then called by Lyon Assets for the repossession of scammed money by paying for the taxes just to get scammed again. Don't trust anything they say, heartless people.
After being a Vodacom customer for over two decades, I get told by a consultant that I am behind on payments when I try to upgrade my contract online. The site says that they deliver in 2-5 working days and after confirming the upgrade on Monday, I personally had to call them four days later to find out what is going on, just to be told by the consultant that I am behind on payments when they receive the money through debit order the same day every month. When the consultant realized that they were the ones that made the mistake, without notifying me at all about the delay in the upgrade, I get told that I have to redo the entire upgrade. I will be contacted again within the next 48 hours, even though the fault was all from Vodacom's side. I honestly do not expect this kind of service from "the best leading network provider in South Africa".
I really would not recommend relying on this network providers data connectivity. For anyone that needs good stable network, outside of cities, this is not a recommended service. Living only 3km away from a 4G tower in my town I still get really bad 3G connectivity and useless 1bar 4G connectivity from time to time. 3 years ago the network was great here, but it's really declined the past few years.
Do not become a Vodacom customer unless you know you have good 4G network in your region, because Vodacom is really bad and unstable anywhere out of cities and really big towns. Not sure why they are looking at 5G when there are towns in South Africa that barely have a decent 3G connection.
