If I could give this review 0 stars I would. We had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at the Morgansvlei Country Estate in Tulbagh the weekend of 13 - 15 November. When we arrived, the items in the welcome platter were hard, stale and inedible. The designated braai area, had a bat's nest just above the fire where you would be handling your meat. Other units had little braai's outside for them but we were never offered the same, had we known about the bad infestation we would have opted to just eat something else. The tap in the 'kitchen' is loose and the basin provided to wash your dishes is so small you cannot put anything in there. The shower was incredibly dirty, and there were spiders nests everywhere - quite frankly I don't think it has ever been cleaned. The towels we were provided were dirty and had stains on them. We also had breakfast included in the package, and at some point during 8-10 the Saturday morning the breakfast was put in a box outside on the table without even informing us, so the breakfast too, was incredibly disappointing. We left the estate for the day and when we returned at 16:00, we decided to leave. The price we paid in no way way was cheap, and is actually standard for the area. I will NEVER stay there again, I highly recommend you check out Saronsberg or MontPellier instead!
