Exquisite seafood and wine
The Codfather in Polofields on very cold evening on a Saturday the 14th July 2021 is absolutely fabulous. The sushi is exquisite !!! It was meant to be a starter however I ended up ordering seconds of Sushi dishes. My daughters did have the main course as well and said it was absolutely divine. ??

This company is a scam; fraudsters pretending to be working with protea Marriott
This company is fraudulent. They call you with a pretense of being Protea Marriott and I bet they target people like me who are members of Prokard. on the 2nd of February 2021 I got a call from a lady whose name I can’t remember. This person asked me to “confirm” my residential address and the “ expiry date” of my bank card number “ starting with” #### which she was reading out and were correct. I WAS NEVER ASKED FOR THE CCV NUMBER.She said that 7 vouchers would be delivered to my address for use at “ANY HOTEL of my choice regardless of whether it was a protea Marriott, Hilton, Southern Sun or any B& B of my choice” This she said was in appreciation of me having been a loyal member for over 10 years. Hardly 40 minutes after the call there was a bank notification of an amount of R2 750.00 reserved by ‘ TRAVEL IN STYLE HOL. I was dismayed because my subscription with Prokard was already paid up so I called to enquire with Protea Marriott and they had no knowledge of the call nor the transaction. The very next morning of the 3rd February there was another notification of an amount of R1 515.00 from the same company. I called the number that had dialed me the previous day which is 0872834184 and there was a machine response that said “ the number you’ve dialed is not in service. I called my banker immediately and had my card cancelled. I have been scammed an amount of R4 265 00. To date the number does not go through and no such vouchers or card has been delivered to me.

Avoid Protea Hotel Clarens. Bad service.
I have been a member of prokard for a good ten years and one of my favorite times have been spent at Protea hotel in Clarens . Sad to say that I had an outmost appalling experience during my stay in this 30th December 2020. The food, the rooms, the service was absolutely appalling. Was given a room small in size that I’d never received before when I requested to be moved was told lies that all rooms are exactly the same size by the on duty night receptionist but that was not the first time checking in. The service in appalling when comparing to other protea hotels around the country. My advice based on my experience is don’t check in at the Protea hotel in Clarens, this is my last time checking in and will tell all my business contacts and companies that I work with that regularly use the hotel to avoid the protea hotel in Clarens and won’t ever approve any employee of my company to be checked in that particular hotel.
