I have been working in the Prison Service and wrote a book about my experience. I have approached Groep 7 Drukkers at Tambotieweg, Kameeldrif, Pretoria, to print the m****cript. It consists of 17 chapters, 162 A4 pages and 92000 words. I was requested per invoice No. 41619 dated 03/06/2020, to pay R5000.00 towards the editing of the m****cript. According to HAT dictionary editing means to "Put in writing in a proper form" - "To make it ready for the press". The head of Groep 7 Drukkers confirmed by e-mail that editing is done at ,05 cent per word x 92000 words which adds up to R4600-00 and not R5000-00. On 13 May 2020 the lady, who was suppose to do the editing, confirmed per e-mail that she has received the m****cript.- That she has done a linguistic test and, that she has read the Introduction and Chapter 1. This constitute a mere 14 pages out of 162 pages. It equals a total of 9139 words at ,05 cent per word. This add up to R465.95 and Not R5000.00. She did not point out ANY mistakes, neither did she make any comments. On 24 May 2020 she forwarded the m****cript and a invoice for editing to the head of Groep 7 Drukkers. A mere eleven days after receival of the m****cript. Feedback that I have received from readers of the book indicate that several mistakes appear in the script. I have pointed out to Groep 7 Drukkers twice that no editing was done and I requested her to pay back the amount of R5000.00 which I have paid towards the editing of the script. The head of the printer dismissed my request with a few senseless comments. She did not address - rather dismissed - the problem. I certainly did not pay R5000.00 for some one to read 14 Pages!! I hereby request Hallo Peter to assist me in this case in order for justice to prevail !! J G Visser
