I have a restaurant and I ordered ten of the clear formed masks for my waiters, so that guests could see their welcome smiles. The masks are ( in theory ) a nice option as they sit on your nose and one can see a person’s face. The masks cost me R 1000. When they arrived , we opened one and the first waiter tried it on. It was WAY too big. Just slides off the head. We sanitised it and let other waiters try it on. Same result. The remaining 9 units remain in original wrapping unopened. The masks are unusable- I think the mould they are using to form them on has stretched - but bottom line, they are useless - they just slide off. I respectfully made this issue known to the supplier , who has refused to take them back and refund me. I have asked to return the nine unopened items. They are almost uncontactable - no phone number on their website. After threatening them, they reluctantly answered my mail , but said as it was a health hazard, they would not take them back. I find this a complete cop out . They are skating under their responsibility to provide me as the consumer with a decent useable product or a refund, under the guise of hygiene. It is low and unacceptable. I have warned them that I would post on Hello Peter and I plan to report them to the consumer protection council.I quite frankly feel ripped off.
