Not releasing authorisation amount on credit card

16 days after returning a rental vehicle to CPT International Airport, First Car Rental is yet to release the authorisation amount blocked on my credit card. Their Ts and Cs state: "Please note that even though the instruction to release the credit card block is sent automatically and immediately, South African credit card issuing banks release the Authorisation Amount block, and this can take from 24 hours up to 7 working days." It is now well beyond 7 working days and I am still being negatively impacted by an amount of credit on my card which is not available to me. This is the 2nd time this has happened in as many rentals. In future, my personal and business rentals will simply go elsewhere. It is a shame that Kulula is associated with First Car Rental.
