On the 18th of May, we celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday. A reservation was made in April 2024, payment for deposit was made on the 26th of April. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and efficient staff and our meal were not half bad either. At the end of our dinner, payment was split and it was at this point where our beautiful experience started to turn to somewhat of an unpleasant adventure. As it was your staff that could not pick up the funds for the deposit. What a shocker that such a large entity could not find the allocated amount. The back and forth conversation between us resulted in me, bearing in mind that I was the customer, no favour was given to me and all that mattered was that your books balanced at the end of the night. In fear of public humiliation and embarrassment I ended up paying my bill and leaving without my initial payment. I have provided all necessary information that proves that I paid and apparently the accountant was going to check on Monday the 20th and I would be refunded within 24 to 48 hours. It has been 148 hours and I have still not received any payment. I have called numerous times during last week but the staff kept saying that the accountant processed the refund but nothing appeared. I called the restaurant today and was at advised that the accountant was in today and he would do an immediate payment and asked for the proof of payment, guess what still received no proof. I was planning to have my son’s birthday at your venue but I guess that’s a NO from me.
Poor service all around. Will probably be my biggest regret for 2023.
