In Dec 2020, Carpet and Decor were brought in to quote on a vinyl Floor, I was looking to cover my lounge, dining room and bedrooms in the same finish. They came and inspected the area and quoted. They were paid the full amount quoted as they refused to do the job without full payment upfront. Long story short, the floor warped and raised in sections by over 200mm and damaged my Solid wood floor beneath (A good floor which never had issues prior), in hindsight and from other suppliers who have come to see the issue (People who know what they are doing), they should have never laid the vinyl on-top on my wooden floor, which is what warped due to been suffocated by the vinyl. I gave them every opportunity to rectify the issue and after 3 months of back and forth and many, many further issues I got them to uplift the floor for the 3rd time. - They refuse to re-imburse me my full amount paid, even after their floor destroyed my perfect floor beneath, due to their advice & me giving them well over a total of 4 months to remedy. They are insistent on leaving the sections that did not warp (the sections on concrete in the bedrooms) even though I insisted on a "same-look" throughout. And I now also have a damaged Solid wood floor that was never damaged before. They Will not fix my floor back to its original state and want to give me a fraction back on what I paid them originally. (On numerous occasions we discussed that should their remedy solutions not work I would not be liable for their floor that was left there while they looked for solutions) Further to this, they Damaged Brand new bed sets, Bent Cupboard handles while moving things around and stacked all my furniture on top of each other. If you are looking at doing your floor, do yourself a favour and shop around, I have received great service and advice from other suppliers who didn’t benefit from this work. I have had to get a lawyer involved and will be taking them to court, I’ll post the results.
