I am a Private Client at FNB and wanted to close my cheque account, as the monthly fees are very high and I did not receive a salary anymore and did not use this account. I have never asked anything from my private banker in all the years I have been a Private client. On the 3 March 2021 I e-mailed premier@fnb requesting them to close my cheque account and to inform me of my final bank charges on this account, to enable me to only leave that amount in my bank account so they could deduct it and close the account. They didn't reply on my e-mail. On the 8 March I e-mailed my private banker, Julian Radebe as well as Premier@fnb and ask them to reply as soon as possible. I still received no reply from either of them. I e-mailed them again on the 11 March telling them that since I had no reply I have withdrawn the remainder of my funds, so the account is R0 and I deemed the account to be closed. I still received no response. On the 20 March my account was debited with R399 and was thus in a debit. They then deduct a further R200 because the account is in debit and other costs of debit orders not going through. I then e-mailed them on the 11 April 2021 again explaining the situation, still no reply. Costs was again debited to my account. On the 18 May 2021 I decided to do a secure chat online with Ntanga . I explained the situation. She then replied that :"I will log a case an escalate it to my team leader and your banker's team leader , feedback will be provided as soon as possible". It's now the 15 June, almost a month later an I still have received no feedback from FNB. Only more costs are being deducted. I have been a loyal customer of FNB for more than 25 years, did my home loan through them and have never defaulted on any payments. This really saddens me.
I have numerous contracts with vodacom and have been a client since my first cellphone. All my contracts have expired almost a year ago. i requested in February to cancel my contracts, which they haven't done after two more calls the cancelled only one number. since then every time i phone to cancel the other numbers they promise me their supervisor will phone me, which never happens. I had to empty my bank account and move all my other debit orders to another account to prevent them from debiting my account. They are still trying to debit that account and still charging me even though I got rid of my sim cards.
I just want to warn people that wants to do business with them. We took a diesel pump to them. they charged us R5000 to fix it, but didn't do anything. we had to take it to someone else. they refuse to refund us, nor did they apologise, instead the owner started swearing at my husband.
